This place has earned my loyalty time and again. Every time I go there I get quick, courteous service and a clean waiting room. All the staff are very knowledgeable and are happy to answer my questions or find someone who can. The best thing I can say about them, though, is that they are always honest - they never try to force me to make repairs, they never sell me anything I don't need, and they even work with parts I bring in if I can find them cheaper elsewhere. I only give them 5 stars because I can't give them 6.

My '84 pickup needed muffler work, the age of the vehicle was no problem for these guys. They showed me the problems while the truck was on the lift. They were able to repair an unexpected problem without charging extra, and had it finished the same day.

I find everyone at B & B honest and very patient. They always take time to review my car needs and answer my questions. As a woman it means a lot to be able to trust their advice.
They have fair prices, excellent service and I always use thier loaner cars. What more can you ask for?
It's nice to know that honest, local, independent businesses still exist!

I have been taking my 10 year old Ford escape to B&B Muffler for inspections, oil changes, and repairs for about a year now.
What I like about them is that they are very customer service oriented and fair. Not only do they take care of repairs but they are thorough in preventative care. This can be overwhelming at first because they will give you a long list of things that need to be taken care of on the car. But if you ask, they will take the time to go over the list with you and help you understand what each thing is, how it is affecting the performance of the vehicle, what you can expect to happen if it breaks, and help you to evaluate how soon it needs to be taken care of. They keep good records-- although there have been a couple of times that I have gotten a reminder call or email about an upcoming oil change that wasn't updated in the system.
The one thing that I have found that I problematic is that the car is not usually ready on time (I don't mean by days, I mean by hours). So I make sure that if I need to be somewhere that I tell them that I need the car finished a couple of hours before that time to make sure that it is ready when I need it.
It is great to have a partnership with a good automotive shop. It takes the worry out of car care and I appreciate it a great deal!

I have been bringing my vehicle for a while now, but it's because I enjoy being preventative with my car. First it was my muffler, and after working with Earl and his knowledge of emissions I was hooked. I later brought my car in for my brakes to be redone, motor mounts installed, oil changes, and they even checked out an oil leak that I had been worried about, but they went over all the options and we ended up fixing the leak within a few weeks of diagnosing the initial problem. I am thankful that B&B works well with my crazy schedule of only bringing in my car on Saturdays, but they are good at what they do. Since I am a transplant to Austin from South Texas, I was glad to find a local shop that I can trust for all my vehicle needs.
My husband and I bought an '87 Pickup truck in need of a state inspection. During the first visit, they gave us a thorough diagnostic of what should be looked at in the near future but in, no way, pressured us to make an appt. We went on our merry way and 6 months later those things started acting up. After having the place around the corner look at it and say it was too expensive and not worth fixing..we took it back to B&B.
Richard was super helpful at the front counter. He explained everything so thoroughly. He gave us options on what to do, explaining cost the whole time. We were given a quote and would have our truck back that day. We waited in the lobby (free wi-fi) and throughout the fix, our mechanic (Bryan) kept coming over and showing us what he was working on and why. How often are you able to see what mechanics are doing while they're fixing it. At the end, the work came in $100 under quote! Our truck is running GREAT now and we have a very reliable place to take it to in case anything happens.

I took my '91 Camry in to get the brakes checked and Rick was so nice at the counter. He let me know that the car would be ready by the end of the day and when I told him I would be walking back to pick it up, he said they would wait for me even if it was after hours.
The brakes were fixed - they just needed to be shaved down to even them out. Rick gave me the run-down of all the other issues I might want to fix, including an exhaust leak, torn axle, and new shocks and struts. I asked for an estimate of the other services and Rick sent it to me through email later. It was so nice not to feel pressured to get all the work done at once. When I do have the money to fix the other problems, I will definitely be returning to B&B.
Also, B&B has great deals on their website - I got 15% off my brake service!
I can't say anything bad about the repair or the customer service at B&B. You can tell they really care about their customers and the quality of their handiwork.

My veternarian referred me to Rick. It started with my Mustang years ago....then my dad gave me his well kept '99 Amigo, so it's my 2nd car they work on for me. I do not mind spending good money on excellent work and service, and Rick, Richard, Earl, Larry, Patrick are personable, easy to talk with, and the ONES in the back I did not mention deserve lots of credit, too. Recently the Amigo needed its' 100k mile checkup, and I ask Rick to treat me like his daughter, and he does. These guys are really talented, I promise you they treat you with respect and explain the most important things you need to do. I see so many people there while waiting in their waiting room, and all their customers seem very happy, too. If you want your vehicle to be repaired properly and with the right parts, etc, you should go there.

I took my '91 Explorer in to get a new muffler. Not only did they get my car back within the hour, they gave it to me for way less than what my internet research led me to believe I would pay. They also gave me some quick and easy ways that I could tend to my car on my own. A great place to take your vehicle. I'll definately be back.

These guys are great. I am one of those people who knows absolutely nothing about cars and had previously gone through a several nightmares with being overcharged. I really trust people at B & B, namely Richard Arnold and Larry Ross who have been kind and helpful. They take a great, inexpensive and fast care of my car.
Last time my car died and I had to had it towed to B&B on Saturday afternoon, it was ready within 2 hours. Last night (Sunday) I again had to have my 16 years old car towed there, and I got a call this morning at 8 saying what was wrong.
Another thing worth mentioning; the first day I was there waiting for a courtesy ride home from them, I had a chance of just watching them deal with customers - (as well as talking about customers) and I was simply amazed at how respectful these guys are.

I came to B&B at 6pm on a Wednesday evening, after retrieving my car from another place down the road, with a broken exhaust pipe that wasn't broken when I dropped it off (at the other place). I was tired, mad and ready to kill someone. I had a trip planned, and now I had a busted exhaust system the day before my trip. Earl calmly started looking for the schematic and asked me to show him where the break was. When I did, he told me to bring it back in the morning, and they would see what they could do. He worked up two options--replace the whole shebang ($$$) and patch it for the time being. He also told me they would have to check the engine mounts, three of which turned out to be cracked. They spent ALL DAY on the phone, finding me those engine mounts (the car is 12 years old). I waited for a couple of hours that morning for a ride, and got to see them operate. They treated each customer with respect and dignity, and knocked themselves out trying to find parts and help people. When I asked to use the bathroom, they not only had a separate Ladies' room, it was clean, and they had PREMIUM TOILET PAPER in it!!! In other words, they care about the details. When I got the car back, they warned me about two tires (rotated by the tire guys down the road the day before) that needed to be replaced due to separating tread. I recommend B&B without reservations--which you should make, since they stay pretty busy.

I've had my truck serviced exclusively by B & B for the last two and a half years and I won't take it anywhere else. The service is great. They're professional and well organized. I especially appreciate the individual attention I receive. They keep me apprised of my car's health, including future maintenance recommendations, but I never feel pressured or scared into any services. I give them my highest recommendation.

I've used them three times and each time they tell me a price, tell me when to expect the work done and BAM! It's done. So far my car has been ready the same day I dropped it off every time!
Once they even offered me a line of credit when I was short. Once I broke down late at night. I had the car towed to them, filled out an after-hours envelope form, put my key in the envelope and they called me in the morning with a price and called me in the afternoon to tell me they were done!
When my car is down I need to know how much it costs to get it back up and how soon it will be back up hassle-free, that's why I go back to B&B!

I finally found a shop that didn't try to gouge me on the price. I went to have my muffler replaced and they actually told me they didn't think it needed to be done. They still quoted me a price, which was 1/4 of what my other mechanic had quoted. I'll definitely be going back to them! That and the free loaner car and life is good.
