Great service, attention to de...

Great service, attention to detail. Highly recommend Anthony's Cleaners if you care about your clothes.

The only place I'd trust with my down comforter

At Anthony's Cleaners, they really care about the things I bring in. This isn't a cleaners that does ten shirts for ten dollars, or anything like that. They're quality, top of the line. When I bring my clothes and linens to Anthony's, I know that they'll be clean and in excellent condition when I pick them up.

I absolutely love that they hand-finish dress shirts! That's the only way to be sure that your shirts are going to come back looking pristine and ready for the office, instead of having folds in weird spots.

Anthony's is the only cleaners in Austin where I would ever bring my down comforter.

Best Dry Cleaners in Town

I've been taking my laundry to Anthony's for years and have never been disappointed. I especially like that they are a locally owned business. Charlotte (the owner) is great and I have never beed treated rudely or with disrespect as some of the other reviewers have reported. I will continue to happily take my business there and know that my clothes will come back perfect.

Worst Dry Cleaners in Texas

Let me start by saying this, is the first bad review I've ever written about any business ever in my 29 years. But when I dropped in to have a suite cleaned, the woman behind the counter didn't even acknowledge me. Not w/a hello, what can I do for you, or even a be w/you in a moment. Simply kept working on whatever trivial paperwork she deemed more important than greeting a new customer upon arrival despite my hesitant ""hello?"".

When finally she found me worthy of her time, I found her abrupt, surely and unwelcoming. She seemed almost to glare at me as I explained what I needed. After wasting her time giving her more business (read: money) she asked my name. It's Ian. Now, I know it's not a super common name but it's not unheard of. She acted as if I were speaking pig latin. ""You've never heard that name before? Ok, well let me spell it for you, I-A-N."" Her response...? ""R-A-N?, Y-A-N?, I-E-M?"" After about a minute of this, I finally said ""yes"", to what ever letter combination she ended with.

In my haste to leave this crummy little rat hole and it's rude proprietor, I forgot to get a receipt, only to remember a couple hours later and have to head back into that vortex of disdain. Upon arriving I could sense her malevolent gaze fall upon me. I cringed a little inside but mustered my courage and explained that I had forgotten my receipt. A slow smirk and a glint of evil in her eye, her reply was, ""we don't do that"". I was befuddled. You don't provide proof that you are in possession of something of mine? How will I prove you had it if something happens? Fearful of deliberate abuse to my property I meekly (and with shame) tucked tail and left.

Now, for the retrieval of my suit. I arrived on the day they said it would be available and told her (different ""her"") my name (knowing this would be a problem). After trying several different 3 letter combination's with no success, she decides to say, ""well it won't be ready till after 4:00"". How did she know that? She didn't know who I was or what I had foolishly left w/them.

I returned after 4:00. Name issues again. Finally, ""we don't have it, we'll let you know if it turns up."" What!? Further deliberation. I leave. Pissed as F@#k. How will I get reimbursed for this?

Ok, here's the silver lining. I've walked half a block and the lady starts yelling my name (correctly surprisingly) telling me to come back... They found it. Apparently the original ""her"" remembered what letter combination she use for my incredibly difficult name. I return, get my suit, PAY!, and leave. No remorse on their part whatsoever.

Sorry for the epic tale. Hopefully they fall into ruin. End.

Lost item - No remorse!

A week ago, my husband surprised me with a honeymoon trip. We decided to take the outfits we wore at our rehearsal dinner to a same day dry cleaning service so we could wear them in Cabo. All seemed well until I pulled out my $700 dress and noticed the center stone piece missing. It had remained in the bag from the cleaners until that point. I assumed they lost it and called immediately to check. Upon returning to Austin, I took the dress to Anthony's so they could see what they were looking for (the services are provided onsite). After 10 minutes of searching, they came back and told me the ruby stone was in fact on the dress when it left their facility and she even had a witness who also had seen it. They remembered talking about how pretty the dress was and the amazing stone in the middle. Had I checked my car or looked for it? Really? I didn't need a witness, rather some type of apology or accommodation or acknowledgement that they lost the stone and essentially ruined a dress that had a lot of meaning to me would have been nice. Nothing, no guilt there at all. If I lost it, so be it. But I have a hard time believing it would fall off a dress in a bag tied at the bottom. I've been the Anthony's for the first and last time. Zero customer service.

Ridiculously expensive

I don't get this place. Maybe there's some magic pixie dust they use to clean clothes, but it is crazy expensive. And my experience was consistent with that of the other reviewers on this site. I had a problem with my order and the staff was rude and combattive. I will not be returning, even though I live a short walk from there.

Know before you go-- they charge $3.50 to launder a men's shirt!

If you can afford for them to lose your clothes, they do a great job cleaning

Anthony's consistently does a wonderful job of cleaning clothing but, they are horrible in customer service if ANYTHING goes wrong. I have over the past 2 years had many items misplaced and recently about $400 worth of clothing completely lost. Unless you want to fight them, not only will they not reimburse you, but they won't even apologize. This has been an issue for myself & another colleague at my office. They do not count items coming in nor provide you with a receipt (I suppose this is so they can lose them without any paper trail). The staff (including Charlotte, the owner) are typically not friendly. Again, great cleaners but I can't afford to lose my clothing and don't want to deal with unpleasant people anymore.

Overpriced, Poor Quality, Bad Customer Service

I've been back to Anthony's a couple of times based on reputation as one of the best dry cleaners, but I'm not sure what people see in this place. The first time I was there, they misplaced my clothing. The second time I was there they gave me a pair of pants back ""lightly starched"" with the legs welded together....obviously over starched...they denied it. Then they tried to get a stain out of a sweater and only made it worse. It looked like they soaked it in chemicals and then ran it through a press, completely streaked. Lastly, they got oil on my good coat.

When I brought them back in...service was rude and tried to blame everything on me.

I will never go back there again.

I wouldn't trust fine clothing to be cleaned anywhere else

I've taken my clothes to a few other cleaners in town. After a few visits, my clothes look worn or aren't cleaned thoroughly. Anthony's has consistently cleaned the finest clothes I have multiple times and they look brand new every time I pick them up.

Too pricey

Moved here from Dallas, TX. Dropped off wash and fold and shirts. Laundry was $150. Shirts were $120. I was an idiot for not asking the price. I wasn't expecting to lose an arm and a leg however. They did not give me back my laundry basked, and we have several articles of clothing that cannot be found. This place is unduly expensive for me.
