On October 30, 2015, I was making a quick trip from Houston to Dripping Springs for a dear friend's father's funeral then back home to Victoria. I left Houston at 5:30 a.m. and was travelling through Austin when a thunderstorm hit the area! It was about 8:30 a.m. and I pulled off of 35 and took refuge at a Whataburger. Before I could exit my car, the wind pushed it so hard, I started being scared! The assistant mgr let me in the door and then all power went out. I stayed at this store over 4 hours and missed the funeral. During the entire time Tim Moon (mgr) and his awesome staff took wonderful care of all the patrons. It was extremely scary and I was calling or messaging my family, just in case the situation worsened. The entire restaurant staff kept trying to assist any of the patrons in any way they could! The wind and rain got to be over 90 mph! I have videos of the happenings! And with all the power off and security systems in other buildings blaring, plus police and fire trucks sirens wailing. . . it was wonderful to have such caring staff at this Whataburger! I wanted to make this KNOWN to everyone associated with the Whataburger family--Tim Moon and the group at 801 E William Cannon #300 in Austin, TX are phenomenal! Rhonda_griffin@hughes.net

Reasonable prices, great onion rings, brick oven pizza hot out of a real fire oven, but you have to try the Chicken Basil Pasta. Your taste buds will be crying for more. There is nothing left on my plate. This place is a MUST. Plus, they give you a card that gets you a free meal after a certa…
21. Austin's Pizza
I could smell the pizza from the parking lot so I decided to run in and try a slice. Now, they don't do slices but they promised me a 10 min fresh pie. Who can't pass that up? got to listen to some good tunes, the staff was lively and friendly. and got my pizza in less than 10 min. I was so ho…
23. Burger King
This restaurant struggled many years ago with short-term managers, worn decor and flooding parking lot. The last couple of years it has had one manager, undergone complete renovation and is up-to-standard for the chain. I would recommend it.
28. Pizza Hut
I will never give them my business again. I ordered at 8:30, and they put me on hold for 15 minutes. Waiting for them to arrive with my order, I realized an hour passed by. Nothing. So I called and they said they would be there any minute. Another 30 minutes pass by and still nothing. So, I call…
I've been to Cabo Bob's twice and ordered two different meals. Cabo Bob's is set up like Freebirds or Chipotle, but the tacos/burritos are made fresh right in front of you. They have 4 different flavors of burrito and all are very good. Because they are made in front of you, they have a more authentic texture than other burrito places. I've tried their shredded pork and their fish. I really like their toppings for both, and both are of very good quality. I especially liked the grand fish tacos. The mango pico was wonderful, and the fish itself tasted great. Another great thing about Cabo Bob's is that their soda machine has Dublin Dr. Pepper and other drinks made with Imperial Sugar. I love Dublin DP so this was a great added bonus. Overall I'd say that Cabo Bob's is the best of the bunch when it comes to cafeteria style burrito joints. They just opened their first shop about 2 months ago and I'm really hoping they catch on. They're located in the shopping center next to the wal-mart on 35 and Ben White.
I finally had a P. Terry's veggie burger last weekend and completely fell in love. First of all, a fast food place with a concern for health? Loving it! Second of all, a fast food place with an option for those of us who don't want meat or don't eat meat; amazing! They have beef, chicken, veggie burgers, cheese burgers, and amazing fries. You can get whole wheat buns, and you can add tons of fixins to make your meal even more delicious. Because the food is actually real meat and vegetables, and fresh, the meals are more expensive than normal fast food, but it's worth it. The combos cost at the max about $6.50, but the meals are filling and don't make you feel as guilty as you would if you ordered off the dollar menu from the McDonald's down the street. They also have gigantic dog treats for your dogs; we had 3 dogs in the car, one who is a very picky eater, and they split the treat and ate every last bit. I hope more of these pop up around Texas!
This was the first Burger Tex I ever went to because it was closest to my house. It didn't look like they would have very appetizing burgers from the outside, but looks can be deceiving. I love that their burgers are made fresh to order. I think they put a little seasoned salt on them or something too, because the meat is always very flavorful. My favorite part is the build your own burger bar. Besides the normal burger dressings, they also have pico de gallo which I absolutely love! I always put huge spoonsful of it on the side since I can't fit it all on the burger. They also toast their buns which make them nice a soft on the outside but toasty and buttery on the inside. The cooks are always friendly and the owner (?) is always nice and remembers you if you go there with any small frequency.
I was just there and guess what, they messed up my order. That would have been ok if that had been all. I ordered a chesseburger with ketchup, mayo and mustard on the side and a sweet tea. I got no ketchup, the nice lady went back for the mayo and mustard (still no ketchup) and i received unsweet tea. All this is fine, it was very fast service and still tasted as good as can be expected from Sonic. I can always sweeten my tea at work. But then i got back to my desk and picked up the tea that i had been drinking for the past 20 miuntes and looked down to find a baby roach stuck between the lid and inside rim of the cup. I called and spoke to Bruce (the manager) and he was nice and apologetic. Just beware of your drinks.
I feel like I've been looking for the perfect dry cleaning locaiton for years, and I've finally found it. I knew I was off to a good start when I called to ask for directions, and was promptly told, "First star on the left, then straight on 'til morning!" Once I arrived, I was greeted with warmth, and soon after received a letter offering me a discount for my next cleaning, and an invitation to join their VIP club. I joined, and now I can just drop my personalized bag off in their 24-hour drop-box, and my credit card is charged automatically. Plus, they donate 3% to my children's school! All this and an environmentally safe product make me so glad I switched!
The staff here is so nice! They are very servant oriented and like to bring the food to your table. They come around often to refill beverages and offer to pick up your trash - so helpful for me b/c I have 2 small children! They also do a lot of family friendly events - often once a week! My son loves their kids meals and especially loves their indoor playground. My food has always been fresh and hot, and I like that I can choose sides for my kids besides fries. We frequent this location!
I never thought I'd give a fast food chain a 5 star review, but their service is impeccable. I've been to this location several times, so it's not just a fluke. Their manners are so amazing I've asked to speak to the manager several times to praise employees. I've even wanted to tip them, but as far as I've been told, they aren't allowed to take tips. Food is hot and fresh. Can't get any better for a chain.
Best Whataburger I have ever been to. The quality of food here is so good and the service is AMAZING! Seriously this is the best group of workers I have ever encountered. They even were so kind to make me breakfast still Ben though I was a few minutes after it ended all just to make me happy! That is amazing service! I will def go to of my way to come to this location from now on!
