Dr. Pugh-Westlyn is a brilliant Psychologist. Over my life I have been to dozens of counselors and psychologists to get help with my anxiety, but I seemed to just get worse. A doctor in Austin referred me to her and said that she was really bright. Well, she is bright and very good at her job. After a short time I was doing much better. I have seen her for a few years now and I am doing the best I have ever done. I wish that I had known that if you are getting therapy and not getting better, find a new therapist. She is at the top of her field!
I was having shoulder tendonitis and muscle strain from an injury at work, Thomas was very professional throughout his treatment. I actually felt quite better the following day. I will return for a second treatment soon.
After years of avoiding any sort of professional mental help, I decided to give this place a shot since it seems to get decent reviews, and is on my insurance plan. I've only met with Dr. Landrum as far as the Dr.'s go, so that's my point of view. Mainly, the good reviews seem to come up because of Dr. Schussler, but what you should know before you begin is that he's not even in Austin, and only travels to see patients once a week for medication management. They do inform you of this immediately, so I was aware (and that isn't the source of my distaste), however after a series of initial testing, and several hopeful appointments, my skepticism in even this office was proven valid, sadly, again. Maybe they might be able to help you if you're scared on bugs or something minor, but with any sort of more complex diagnosis or even just being 100% honest about your feelings, they basically don't even provide treatment, and instead tell you to transfer to another office. And my diagnosis really isn't even that severe or complicated, so I'd hate to see what this place CAN'T do if you're really suffering from severe mental issues. It's almost like they want to only "treat"/see mental patients who are "fine." I had been so proud of myself since I'd finally began to seek help because I've been struggling for over 15+ years, but I guess it was too much for them to handle. My frustration was handled with extreme coldness, which really didn't help either. Seems I wasted a lot of time, money, and patience with this office. Maybe it'll work for others, but definitely not for me. What a letdown.
This company saved my life! I am a self employed type one diabetic that has no insurance . For years i had been paying $500+ on my insulin's and recently hit some hard times. No longer could i afford my med's and that's when i found this company. I now pay $50 a month for both of my insulin's at the full dosage and i take over 200 units a day combined. I wish i would have heard about this years ago. Thank You SCBN
Very easy approval process and great customer service all the way around. Everyone there is very helpful and has your best interest in mind. I would recommend this to anyone that needs help.
Very easy, I didn't know that programs for medications existed but they are available and affordable. The representative I spoke with was very kind and walked me through the process with ease. I would recommend this to anyone who needs the help.
Easy and affordable. Gave them some basic info. Caseworker was nice. She called me back that day to let me know they could help. I save a lot of money with this program. Thanks!
Professsional discreet facility with an extremely competent staff.
A nightmare at best. Ive had other issues with her lack of professionalism and bias but this one takes the cake. Out of the blue she advised my 16yo to cut me off and have her father change her phone number without anyone informing me of why this was happening. Honestly I had no idea where this came from. For 3wks I was worried sick. So I had to contact my ex's attorney to find out what was going on. she seemed surprised that I wasn't informed. Actually its not a surprise, one year ago April signed a note for my daughter to stay out of school for 3 daysl while under her care. Not only was I not informed but my daughter was at her grandmothers 80miles away,so she wasn't actually under her care.April and my ex kept my daughter out of school so much that she was almost kicked out last fall. Her attendance records support this. In fact when April showed up to see my daughter at school the principal told her she was unprofessional. My experience has been horrible regarding this individual.oh and one more tidbit.I don't know much about April's upbringing but I was informed through my ex that Aprils father "hit her with a switch too" when she was young so apparently it was ok that my ex hit my 15 yo daughter w a yard stick to wake her up.Daddy called my daughter the "C" word and April condoned that w a response, well she called him a D B. From my perspective, my daughter has some real issues to work on but she's also being a typical teen, choosing the path of least resistance to get what she wants, not being completely honest along the way. April does not due her due diligence and is enabling negative behaviors.I would not, even remotely consider recommending her.
So I don't take medications but my mother and father are diabetics. I enrolled them with SCBN over three years ago. If you actually Listen to the welcome call they clearly state that the pharmaceutical companies provide the medications for free or low cost and you are paying for their services. That is very helpful for me because I am a busy business woman and don't have time to remember when to call in the refills, reapply etc and my parents have memory loss. That is where they come in, they take care of all of the refills and reapplications for us and that is a weight off my shoulders. Most people think that they can lie about their income and still get the medications at no cost, guess what the income is verified and you will be denied with the PHARMACEUTICAL COMPANY and you go on here saying they are a scam, NO YOU are a scam! Also my mom forgot to sign one of the pages of the application, If it was sent to the Pharmaceutical company directly, she would have been denied and her app destroyed but guess what, SCBN reviews applications so they sent it back to her to get it signed and yes that did delay her getting her Lantus but it was OUR fault and not THEIRS. On the welcome call they clearly state that it can take 6weeks to get your first shipment of meds and any delays by YOU or YOUR DOCTOR can make this period even longer. SO HERE IS THE BOTTOM LINE (they state this in the welcome call) THE MEDICATIONS ARE PROVIDED BY THE PHARMACEUTICAL COMPANIES AND NOT BY SCBN, THEY HANDLE YOUR PAPERWORK, REFILLS and REAPPLICATIONS. If you are elderly with memory loss, blind, have hearing loss or are a busy person, they will be your angels. If you are well, a home body and have the time to deal with the rude pharmaceutical companies then go directly with them! Pharmaceuticals are hard to deal with so yeah I rather pay $35 monthly and leave that for SCBN to handle. AGAIN MEDICATION IS PROVIDED BY PHARMACEUTICAL COMPANIES AND SCBN JUST HANDLES PPWK!! Pharmaceutical companies are hard to deal with because they provide medications free or at low cost and ofcourse they will make it very difficult for people to get the medications, they change the regulations and proof of income requirements all the time and if you go directly with them, they would not notify you and you would be denied but scbn keeps in touch with them and finds out their regulations and requirements and then notifies their members. Example: My dad get social security, at first they requested bank statements and that was provided and a month later they changed their regulations and needed the Awards letter, yes I was frustrated but again SCBN is just the messenger. By the way, there is no contract with them, you are able to cancel at any time, I asked ;) Thanks and god bless all
