I enjoy the sushi and and Mongolian barbecue. The last time I was there, the male server, who was obviously gay, kept calling me "Boss" and was real touchy feely. My girlfriend and my daughter thought this hilarious the way he was so attentive. But great service nonetheless!

Bought an outdoor set of 4 swivel rockers, a love seat glider, a coffee table, and 4 end tables. Quality is light years beyond other outdoor furniture that I've bought at Lowes, Sams Club, etc. I was looking for a high end outdoor patio set. At the places you would normally find this quality …

I scheduled reservation; the parking was easy, 68 degrees located next to Deep Eddy Cabaret which I had not been to in years, so it was fun to walk by a familiar Austin establishment as we entered the restaurant. The food was excellent, I had the Grilled Trout, and my date had the chicken parmes…

The Pit is a low-ceiling smoky affair. Perfect for authentic barbeque --- excellent brisket and sausage. Great sauce. Good sides ? potato salad and beans. You are offered a choice of white bread or wheat bread. Even if you are a ?granola chomper? (I am), barbeque is best with out-of-the bag …

If you want decent, fresh food served by greasy, long-haired, stretched-lobed individuals with attitude problems, save yourself about 50 percent and head down the street to Thundercloud's. The food here is so-so for the most part, although stay away from the empanadas, they are incredibly dry a…

Let me just say, wow! First. This place has had several renters/owners... all oriental food places. I enjoyed it when it was Wokaholic, though it wasn't as good as it could have been, the portions were excellent. When Wokaholic went out of business, Mai Lien Bistro came in. This place was alright, though it was kind of pretentious in my opinion. The Pho wasn't as good as our favorite Vietnamese restaurant's, Hoemi. Mai Lien probably failed because of the mediocre food. Then, enter Hunan Cafe. The last reviewer made up my mind to go and try them out. I found that it was very deserving of the five star rating that was given. I will proceed to break down what I had there and finally, our experience. We ordered the pan fried dumplings. These dumplings were firm, not mushy and the filling and size of them was quite generous! The filling had a touch more vegetables than meat. If you don't mind that, it's very good. The dumpling sauce more than makes up for this. It's extremely good, with plenty of onions and a good balance of flavor and even a touch of heat. I was very satisfied with the dumplings. Next we ordered the wonton soup. It's a beef stock based broth. Generally I don't like wonton soup with beef stock as a base, however, I will make a major exception for this wonton soup. It has a wonderfully light beef and onion flavor with a hint of ginger that is just plain excellent. It reminds me of the Tokyo Onion soup that I'm so fond of at Tokyo Steakhouse. The wontons are generous in size as well and firm, not mushy. The filling was a little on the spare side but very good quality. I was very satisfied with this as well.. Next came the main course. We ordered their chicken fried rice (we have a standing policy that a oriental restaurant can be judged based on how good their fried rice or lo mein is) and black bean chicken, which I rarely enjoy at most of the places I've had it. The chicken fried rice was amazing. Since I've come to Austin, I haven't had chicken fried rice that nearly matched my favorite style of chicken fried rice as well as Hunan Cafe's. The chinese food place I loved most back then was a place called Panda Kitchen. Their fried rice was my absolute favorite and this place's chicken fried rice is comparable in quality and flavor. It has peas, carrots, bean sprouts, green onions, egg, and chicken. The seasoning is light and excellent. I was extremely satisfied with it. The black bean chicken's sauce was suprisingly savory. I was pleasantly shocked at first bite, as was my fiance. It had spicy jalapenos, black bean sauce, chicken, bellpepper, onion, and probably garlic. I loved it! The good news doesn't end there either. This place delivers to homes in a 5 mile radius. The minimum for delivery is 15.00, and 30.00 (I think) for delivery without fee. The prices are a touch higher than other places in the area, but the quality makes it very worthwhile in my opinion. I highly recommend you try the food here, and if you like it, please support them. It would be a shame to lose this place .
So, let me just start by saying- I. LOVE. TACOS. And I have pretty high expectations for said tacos. AND I tend to get a craving for them when most places are shutting down. Well, lo and behold to find that Torchy's is open til 10 on weekdays and 11 on weekends! When I got there, Queen was playing. The guy behind the counter asked me about my day like he genuinely cared. There's Maine Root in the soda fountain. And the food is also fantastic! Since this first experience, I've frequented Torchy's Tacos several times a month. I used to always get the Baja Shrimp and the Fried Avocado tacos. Baja Shrimp is generously filled with hand battered and fried (but not greasy) shrimp, pickled vegetables, queso fresco and lime. There is a great balance of spicy, acidic and cool flavors all wrapped up in the tortilla. The Fried Avocado is a hand battered and fried avocado with refried beans, shredded cheese, lettuce and tomato. I love the texture and creamy flavors of this taco! It is so good, and I never order vegetarian items. But in the past couple years I've rotated in other flavors. The Democrat is filled to bursting with barbacoa. I was really impressed with the quality of it considering that Torchy's isn't exactly Mexican food. It is very flavorful and not greasy at all. You gotta get the Trailer Park "trashy"- fried chicken smothered in green chile queso and pico de gallo. Creative and delicious- this one is a guilty pleasure! I actually got to Green Chile Pork by mistake one time. Although it's not what I ordered, it is pretty dang tasty. The pulled pork is juicy and flavorful and the green chiles- of which I'm not a huge fan- do not overpower anything. But, the customer service at Torchy's is outstanding. I called to let them know my order got mixed up- just to make sure someone else didn't get the taco I ordered and they put me down for a free taco. I really appreciated their customer care! There is a different taco of the month each month that coordinates with holidays or weather, and they are generally pretty great. And lastly, I always ALWAYS get extra Chipotle Sauce and Poblano Sauce no matter which tacos I order. I could drink that stuff!
They have an expansive menu with many authentic Chinese dishes as well as American-Chinese dishes. I personally really like the food, but I'm giving them 4 stars, because no one gets that unless they're perfect or just knock my socks off. The service is the typically bad service you find in Asian restaurants. Most of the them work on pooled tips, so they really don't care if you like them or if they're providing you good service. Some dishes to try that I like there are the shrimp wonton soup which is very delicious in a rich broth. Also, they're probably only 1 of 2 or 3 places in town that serve the roasted duck and BBQ pork which I really love. You should also try the salty shrimp and shrimp in mayonnaise sauce with candied walnuts. I know they sound gross, but I guarantee you that they're absolutely delicious! On weekends, be prepared for a very long wait. Most of the patrons are Chinese so that's a good cue that the place is good.
In my opinion, it is hard to have a bad BBQ experience so the "feel" for a good BBQ restaruant usually comes from the atmosphere. That can make or break a BBQ restaurant. The County Line lived up to the hype. A well-worn but expansive dining room full of character with a cozy bar area and a fabulous patio to enjoy the beautiful Texas sunsets. The BBQ passed the test to - well-cooked beef brisket and ribs and admirable pork BBQ (I'm from the South so I just had to test it). go for the marbled 2nd cut brisket - it just about melts in your mouth. Wash it all down with a Shiner and I'm in heaven. The only thing they are missing is mac & cheese. Is that a Southern thing too?
I scheduled reservation; the parking was easy, 68 degrees located next to Deep Eddy Cabaret which I had not been to in years, so it was fun to walk by a familiar Austin establishment as we entered the restaurant. The food was excellent, I had the Grilled Trout, and my date had the chicken parmesan. The atmosphere was elegant but relaxed, and it made for a very nice evening. When you have chosen a new place to dine especially in a new relationship it really can make or break the evening what restaurant you choose. I can recommend 68 degrees, and I wanted to take the time to say thanks for a great evening. All the best Eric
Suzi's has some delicious entrees but does not have many vegetarian items. Their takeout service is top notch. The food is always ready on time or earlier. You can call them a few minutes before closing time and they will still take your order, and stay open late just for you. The ambience is a bit lacking and the prices are quite high. The grilled salmon with jalapenos can't be beat - it's absolutely superb. But that should be expected for the price. It's too bad they don't offer more inexpensive entrees and vegetarian options.
I've never wrote a review before so here it goes. I came from out of town, Detroit to be precise. I've been craving chinese for a few weeks, so I got on www.yellowpages.com and went to searching. I found it because it was close and they delivered. I made an excellent choice. The woman who answered was very friendly and helpful. I told her I was from Detroit and she gave me her advice. I had sesame chicken, fried shrimp, and mixed vegetables.Very tasty and plenty for your money. You should check it out. You will not be sorry.
I've been to all of the Wanfu locations several times and this one is my least favorite. I can't figure out if it's the food that's not as good or the feel of the restaurant. The food is decent and better than a lot of the other cheap Chinese restaurants, but it's definitely not as good as I and II. I like that they generally don't drown the dishes with sauces as much as other places too. They could spruce the restaurant up a little more though. Eating in there doesn't inspire an appetite, because it's so cold and drab.
I love this place and you will to. I eat here weekly and I love their Lo Mein, Sesame Chicken, Grill Salmon, Mussel and Ribs. Crab Rangoon and dumpling are so delicious that they made by themselves daily. Hot & sour soup and egg drop soup are my favorite that I can’t miss. The buffet is sort of small, but everything on it tastes great! The staffs are very nice and they put a lot of care into what they're serving. Awesome. It's always super clean and a great place to enjoy.
This is the Best Chinese resturant in town I'd say, I had the Sesame Chicken and the Wonton soup to with it. Delicious and went down smoothly, they are more of a togo an delivery kind of place but u can also dine-in which is pretty cool because they don't use plates so you don't have to worry about cleanliness. Its all to go stuff they give you so its just thrown away afterwards can recycle them! its a plastic container for togo an deliverys would def. reccommend them!!!
