Took my 65 Plymouth valiant in for a leaky carburetor which should have been an easy fix - replace the carburetor, which was done. However, one of the arms of the part that is supposed to ALWAYS LOCK IN wasn't installed correctly so it doesn't lock in, which caused the gas pedal to stick which is extremely dangerous not to mention this means the mechanics didn't even bother to test drive the vehicle before handing it back to me in supposedly road ready condition. You guys should be grateful that my dad picked the car up instead of me, and that he knew how to react to the gas pedal sticking on the middle of manchaca otherwise you probably would have seen the end to your business a few days ago. We fixed the carburetor ourselves and fixed the gas pedal from sticking so thanks for stealing our money and almost causing my early death. If you claim to restore classic cars, you should actually fulfill this claim.
I brought my 67 Chevy truck (the shop was then called S. 1st Performance further north on S. 1st) here for transmission swap. Horrible customer service, over prices all parts & labor and slow to deliver on work. Had to go to another shop for engine work since all trust was lost in previous shop and turns out the transmission that was put in isn't even for my truck!! Owner has now moved and changed name of business thinking they can avoid all the bad reviews I imagine. Do not take your car here because he will rip you off & cut corners on parts and labor. Read this review I found as well if thinking about going to this shop. It's the same owner - new location and name. http://oppositelock.kinja.com/south-1st-performance-automotive-worst-experience-eve-1618165590
