This is in response to Triston Kyle's review. This is Jake Wand, the owner. I don't even know where to start. We have been patient with you (Kyle) for the duration that you shopped with us. I did my best to educate you on the health of fish and why sicknesses occur in the fish trade. You refused to take our advice when it comes to quarantining, you refused our advice on making responsible fish selections, and you absolutely would not take any responsibility when deaths of your livestock occurred. Instead, you chose to pass the blame onto the very people who were trying to help you succeed in the hobby. The statement that we knowingly and purposely sell sick fish is absurd, and quite frankly your comment and attack on our livelihood has thoroughly pissed me off.You were angered after we offered you $15 trade credit for a gorgonian. We sell gorgonians for $30. Our policy is we offer up to 50% credit on trade-ins. We prefer not to receive trade-ins, but we do it as a courtesy to our customers. You obviously thought it was worth more than that. You created a scene, gave the coral to a random customer who was standing near you, and stormed off. Your voicemails threatening to report us to the FBI made absoluty no sense, and you still continue to call us disguising your voice. It's clear our products and services are not meeting your needs, please move on.

I highly recommend this place. The staff is knowledgable and helpful. The fish are good quality, as are the plants and supplies. BTW, the ""bad attitude, unprofessional"" thing at the bottom was supposed to be for another pet store and I don't know how to remove it so ignore that.
They have the best marine tank accessories and fish I've seen in town. They also breed and sell conures, cockatiels, and other parrots. The owner is very good at raising her birds to be sweet and sociable. They obviously love animals.

Originally, I reviewed the Brodie & Lamar (Sunset Valley) store, but posted it on the wrong location.\r Sorry guys!! This Petco has the same problem with old and confusing signs, but they have worked with me when I was overcharged in the past and I will probably visit this location until I get …

I absolutely love this store! This was our pet store when I was a child. I took my son here yesterday to look around. Judy is amazing, and very compassionate with all of the animals. She let my son pet Sugarfoot (the store bunny), a guinea pig, hold a bird, feed the coy, and showed him every…
i had to find a local company who could clean my aquarium so i didnt have to worry about it and i found these guys through word of mouth. The guy who actually came to my house was very professional and knowledgable. He seemed to know what to do after a few minutes of looking at my aquarium. he a…
I can't even begin to explain this place. Their own manager (Francisco)told me he was aware of the fact that they were selling fish with velvet and ich to customers. People who say they take good care of their fish , clearly don't know the hobby. When you go in a store and every fish has visible white spots. RUN. Trust me please when I say this store has ZERO issue selling you sick fish. In their eyes it makes you have to spend more money. I'm sure they will counter what I said and say it was my fault all the saltwater fish in their store have ick. They are bad business. Before I was against the company I was a almost everyday regular. The employees got comfortable with me and started telling me some things about the shop. For people looking to start a failing saltwater system. Go here. I promise you, unless you but the fish out of the bag, that it will be covered in spots the next morning. For non advanced aquarist. If you see any type of spots on the fins or body of a fish (sometimes have to look super close) . Then it currently is sick. And if you ask Jake ( owner ) about what you saw. His wonderful answer is " all fish always have ick". Yea this guy is full of horse crap. Go to almost any other store and look at the livestock. Screw river city. I wish the Better Business Bureau would of shut them down . But instead river city redid their whole saltwater room. And yes they re did the saltwater room bc it was considered animal cruelty how they were handling their fish. But hey I'm just some guy who doesn't know what I'm talking about. Y'all have fun. Keep shopping there. And keep haveing negative results for a hobby which is suppose to be fun. Thank you RCA for ruining this hobby for so many people.
My husband and I just moved into a new home this weekend. We called around town to all of the local fish stores to get a quote on getting some help to move our fish tank. I am 8 months pregnant and found this to be a priority. River City Aquatics not only gave us the most reasonable and fair pricing, but truly went above and beyond our expectations. They handled and took care of our fish with such perfection- we are truly blown away! Not only was the staff beyond professional handling the equipment, fish, etc they went to extremes to make sure our old house and new house flooring were taken care of as well through out the process. It was completely obvious they put thought into every action before taking it. I can not thank them enough for all of their tedious and hard work to bring our fish and coral back safely into our new home. I highly recommend River City to anyone that might have questions about moving fish/tanks- they are the real deal!
Not sure if this place is still in business...but yuck is right! Dirty, smelly and full of cockroaches! I bought a stand a few years ago, unknowingly bringing how roaches, they invaded my home before I could blink! Took forever to get rid of the nasty things! I'd give 0 stars if it were an option.
