Have been trying to get a therapist appt since my first phone call on 8-28-17. Had one intake appt cancelled due to an emergency. Finally got a therapist assigned and an appt scheduled for 10-6-17 only to have THAT one cancelled as well. What that says is I'm not a priority and they don't care. Somethings just not right so I found a new therapist.

I LOVE this center. We have our family counseling, and individual counseling here. They have tons of extra group therapy sessions that are helpful to patients and spouses. They also do family events and help in every way they can. This clinic is vital to helping Vets recover and or seek help. I have looked for a place this vested in recovery for 10 years.
I went to the VA office to set up health insurance for myself after getting out of the military. When I first came in to the building, I was greeted by a man at the front desk, who seemed friendly enough. I was told that I had two people in front of me, so I sat down and waited. Then I waited some more and waited some more, until I eventually just left. I don't know how many workers they have there, but I waited an hour and a half behind only two people and never got helped. I also never was told, "Sorry about the wait" or "Someone should be able to help you shortly". I just patiently waited until I gave up. I am now under the assumption that I was in the wrong building because I am a veteran, but they did nothing to help me. I'm pretty sure it was just an old men's social club since all the old guys acted like buddies talking about random, inconsequential information. I would recommend going to any other office that would help because there is no way you could possibly wait any longer with only two people in front of you. At worst, the other offices are equally as bad. I'll just figure out the information on my own now.
The absolute WORST. Voice mail boxes are always full and they NEVER clear them; you can't ever leave a message for your caseworker. I've never even spoken to mine....I gave up and went there in person, waited 3 hours and saw someone else. Fax in a salary update? Prepare for them to LOSE it; meanwhile your SNAP benefits expire and your kids go hungry. LONG lines - this place is more depressing than Cold War Russia. At least the office in Kendall County that closed had people that CARED and tried to help. The Aurora office sucks.
Be prepared to be disappointed with so many things about this office. The lines are long and customer service is very bad. I had mailed an application for medical assistance because I didn't want to wait in line (they do have a drop box of which I was not aware of) Three weeks later I went to ask about it because I had heard or received nothing. Come to find out they had nothing in their system about me. The receptionist said that I would have to fill in a new application. Now I have to wait about another 2 weeks just to find out if they even received it. Calling the office on the phone is even worse. It is automated and when you enter the # to speak to an "attendee" you get a busy signal. I don't want to give this place any stars. All this waiting is making me miserable.
No service at allThey never answer their phone, transfer with no notificationsZERO SERVICE!!!!
