Since we have lived here we have constanly complained about excessive noise from our neighbors. The noise almost never stops. Sometimes I have to stay in my bedroom because the bass from the music next door makes the pictures on the wall and the glassware in my cabinet rattle. The people upstairs stomp constantly, and sometimes violently. At times it sounds like they are throwing things down the stairs at night. I have never been able to call security because the noise from the music is usually gone by 10pm. The stomping however goes on at all hours of the night. I have taken to wearing earplugs to bed. I don't know if the problem upstairs is due to the inconsideration of the tennants or the crappy construction of the building. I have called the management numerous times on a monthly basis since we moved in here 8 months prior to this review. Nothing has been done that has stopped the noise.
In addition to the noise we have had 2 floods in our hallway and both our bedrooms and have barely averted a third one. The first was due to failure of a hot water heater. The other 2 incidents involved shoddy workmanship. The people who came in and cleaned up and extracted the water from our carpets did a lousy job of reinstalling the carpet. Tey reinstalled 2 different thicknesses of padding replacement and never stretched the carpet properly. Now the carpet looks horribly damaged just from normal wear on our part. No doubt we are going to have trouble with the management over this when we move out, but that is yet to be determined.
Lastly, our lease agreement was modified by the people at Greystar. The legality of it is questionable. We agreed to a flat fee for the trash and water. They later changed it to a ""by occupancy"" billing from a third party, for which we are also being charged for the third party billing services. We previosly agreed in our lease to pay the office directly for this which was a flat fee added to our rent. My guess is Greystar is counting on the fact that fighting this legally will cost residents so much in legal fees that they will just put up with having thier utility bills jacked up.
I can't wait to move out. I pay my rent early every month. My family and I are model tennants. We expect the higher standards promised to us by the rental agent when we rented this apartment. The property is substandard and the promises and the advertising claims are bogus at best. If you have any standards at all, I would avoid this place like the plague.

This apartment complex will find you with a lot of residence with the same complaint! Maintenance? They have it? Yeah, we had missing cabinet doors, we had a washer that constantly overflowed and they did nothing. Then we give them our notice to vacate, they lose it and want us to pay the rent for the extra month when someone moved in less than two weeks after we moved out so they weren't out the money. We drove by and saw them moving into our old place. Poor people.
Also, be careful for nasty black mold. We talked to three residents who had the problem other than us. Oh and if your kids get harrassed, just call the cops don't be nice and call the office, they just don't care.
No bugs, but that is the only good thing I can say.
