I took my lawn mower there for a tune up and the guy told me that he could have it ready the next day and he did but when I went to pick up the mower the mechanic could not get it started.So he said he was going to look at it again and that he would call me.Well he called me late in the afternoon and told me that I needed a needle valve and seat and a float,what ever that is and that it would be a extra 40.00 but he would have it ready the next day.So I said OK,go ahead and do it.He told me that he would call me,Well after two days without a call,I called them.They couldn't find my mower.So they said that they would replace it with a better mower and that I would have to give them 150.00.The mower that they offer me look worst than mine so I said no and they gave me 70.00 for my mower and told me that it wasn't worth more than that,but they were going to charge me 110.00 to fix the other one before it disapeard.So no I would not recommend these guys.Go somewhere else.poor service.not happy and will never go there again!!!

My experience with fFirst small Engine was fantastic Service like this is very rare. All that I was promise was delivered. We had a saying in the Marine Corp above and beyond the call of duty.
I've taken my mower to them three times. The first two they fixed it on the spot. The most recent they promised me two weeks, but got it done in three days. Now it runs like new. This last time they went ahead and did the work rather than calling me with an estimate (which would have been okay had we agreed to it up front). But their price was reasonable. They've always been friendly and willing to answer questions. I'll keep going back.
Small shop.. Big Hearts. Steve and son Stephen have been cordial, educational, polite, and display a knowledge of all kinds of small engines. In this case, Stephen stopped what he was doing to look at my Carb because he thought it a quick fix and didn't want me to leave it. This instead of saying there was a charge to evaluate, then a call with an estimate. He took it apart, showed me the problem, fixed it, sold me a filter and I was on my way in 20 minutes. That's the service I like and why I like them.
