I respect Mr. Willie Mays and his Mother Carrie, who operated this family-run business when I first met these wonderful people more than 30 years ago.

May Mortuary handled the services for my mentor Mr. Jay Mann aka Jan Hutchens shortly after I moved from Augusta 20 years ago.

I could not attend the funeral but I trusted Willie to handle Jay's funeral with respect.

They also handled arrangements for many other community leaders and their families.

Willie will make sure everything is done with taste and care.

God bless his mother Carrie - a great community leader - and city council member - in her day.
