Furman's Clock & Watch Repair

Called to gage idea of charges, knowing its not a genuine quote as their hours and location are not as favorable with my work and schedule before I made the trip. The lady/ owner was incredibly rude, quoted me really high without truly knowing what the issue was. I tried to explain it is only the chains off track- that is all I wanted her to fix, she hung up. I called back explaining I was trying to do business with her, she snapped and hung up again. I am not sure I have ever encountered a business that did not wish to have customers- perhaps she's running a front- hmmm, that is the only way to explain it. NEVER EVER do business with this place! They do not want your business- run, do not walk to your nearest exit! Horrible

Unprofessional – Outrageously Expensive - Total Rip Off



I took a watch to Furman’s explaining that I just had it cleaned & it still didn’t work. They said they could fix it. The first time I picked it up, they charged me $175. I about passed out from the outrageous fee, but, if my watch was fixed, I was ok with it as it is an expensive dive watch. However, after wearing it for a day, I found that it was no different than when I took it to them. After 3 tries and over a YEAR later, my watch is still not fixed and I’m out $175. They refuse to refund any of my money, they refuse to respond to the BBB, and they refuse to act professionally. AND, not only did they rip me off for $175, I found out that the watch repairman doesn’t even know how a quartz watch works. He told me the problem was a balancing mechanism and he hadn’t seen one of those in years. Well guess what, that’s because a quartz watch DOES NOT HAVE a balancing mechanism. One would think that a professional watch repair person would know that. They are HORRIBLE and I would tell anyone NOT to go there.
