My wife and I just paid La Casa Latina $24.56 (food + tip) for a massive disappointment and the most the owner was willing to do was comp. my sweet tea and take off 10%.The "skirt steak" I ordered was absolutely terrible, and according to them that's just "how it is".I am absolutely certain this "skirt steak" at La Casa Latina is, by far, the cheapest, toughest beef I have ever eaten. The fact that this horrible abomination of a steak cost $14 (with a basic salad and mofongo), was almost as surprising as the fact that such a dish even exists!I'd rather eat beef from McDonalds and I hate McDonalds; that's how disappoint this is.According to them, "skirt steak" is a traditional dish, so I guess people are raised eating horribly cheap beef or something; that's fine, but in what universe is the cheapest, toughest meat you can get worth $14? I'm guessing that, traditionally, it doesn't cost $14. For $14, I could get a great sirloin steak that would have been a heavenly delight compared to this nonsense.I almost never ask for food to be taken off my bill. it makes me feel like a snob for complaining and I don't want to hurt people's feelings, but in this case, the steak was so blatantly unacceptable I would've been a complete pushover not to say something.I warned them I would be leaving a bad review if they actually refused to take this "steak" off my bill, something I've never had to do before and probably won't need to do again. The only reason this isn't a 1 star review is because our server was patient and polite (I gave her a 20% tip) and because their fried plantains were actually pretty excellent. However, I'm disgusted that I spent so much money on such a low-quality, yet expensive excuse for a meal. I mean, why even have a restaurant if you're going to use the absolute lowest-quality ingredients possible?Shame on you, La Casa Latina. Completely unacceptable.
Rhinehart's has some of the best shrimp I've ever eaten. Atmosphere is relaxed, servers are fast, friendly & efficient. We always look forward to coming here when in Augusta!! Won't find anything better than this if you like seafood.
My wife and I visited the restaurant during the busiest time on Saturday, but we were so welcome d by the receptionist at first. Then, the waitress named Angelina Jones, best server ever came to serve us the best seafood we had for quite some time. Started with the steamed oysters with pickled cucumbers, carrots and onions. They were so good that we finished the whole plate. Then here comes the Alaskan king crab, grilled Salmon and fried flounder with baked sweet potatoes. Food was so fresh and tasty we both over eaten the meal. It was a such memorable dining experience we had in a long time. Try them for yourself and you will understand! Thank you Angelina for making our meal so enjoyable. You're the best waitress we ever had.
Service was horrible. Brought my whole family in for Easter brunch with the included endless drink special. Only got 2 out of 5 orders of drinks. Our waiter was Mia for most of the meal. Everytime we would order a drink it would take 30-90 minutes between the time we ordered to the time we would finally get drunks. Very disatisfied with our experience as a whole. You get better service at McDonald's then we received today. I do not plan on returning for personal or even business reasons.
We went to Monterrey's for a bridal luncheon on 10/21 because our bride LOVES Mexican food! A friend and I arrived a little before the rest of the party so we went to the bar for margaritas. We asked the bartender what the special was for the day (house margarita) and decided to each order one. It turned out to only be $3! Needless to say, our table ordered several pitchers when they arrived. The atmosphere wasn't very "authentic" and it would definitely be considered a casual dining spot- but the food made up for that. The cheese dip, ground beef tacos, and chicken quesadilla were excellent. Service was good and the building wasn't too crowded. Great (cheap!) little spot in Augusta- would definitely go back!
This is by far the best Mexican restaurant in Augusta. The staff is always friendly. They make you feel as though you're part of their family. The food is good too! The fajitas are amazing!! My family and I go there often and we are never disappointed! Love this place and look forward to many more wonderful meals there!
I have always eaten at this restaurant. I have dine in and take out, it is so good, especially their vegetables fajitas. I eat the vegetables along with the cheese. IT is soooooooooooo good!. I wish you had a menu on though.
My girlfriend and I have been going here for years. The service is good, the food is very well priced, hot and has never left me with anything but satisfaction. I highly recommend this restaurant above any other Mexican restaurant in the CSRA!
Don't know what the review with the yak out problem was. I have ordered from one to 24meals with no problem. Mostly we eat there several times a month and see many of our friends onThere, one even has a plate named for her! Food and service always good (even when the Lin is out the door) once seated waiter, chips? Drinks and piping hot food comes within a very few minutes love this place!!
We were the first group seated when they opened on Sunday, April 12, 2015. The waiter was rude, our orders weren't taken for ten minutes, the floor was sticky when you walked in the door (this is at opening time mind you). The food was alright but not anything to write home about. We will not be going back there.
