This Kroger is right around the corner from our house, we've been going here three years and it's decent. However, I've decided today not to buy meat from Kroeger anymore. I'm absolutly tired of having to return meat that I've purchased. The meat for three years has often smelled spoiled once I open the pack. It's hard to find a pack that looks good as it is, and sometimes when you think you've found one, you get home and thee is the rotten color on the bottom. To add to the meat issue, there is an older female butcher there who should work in a early 1900s orphanage with beaten children. She's always frowning and acts like you've asked her to move a mountain when you ask her a simple question...if she feels like acknowledging you've asked a question. I've often been in a place I"m not sure if she's heard me or if she's just ignoring me. Turns out 10 times out of 10, she was ignoring me, hoping Id go away or wasn't quite ready to speak to me and put me on in-person hold. The rest of the staff at Kroger for the most part has been pretty friendly. You of course have your rotten apples here and there at all places. But today I've finally had it, no more meat from Kroger...stinky meat and cranky butchers do not make for a nice shopping experience...I'll just get my meat from Publix now.
We have shopped at Kroger WashingtonRd/AlexanderDr since before 1985. Produce department has been the main attraction. We grocery shop about 2 times per week. We love having the fuel discount. Friendly service has always pleased us. I cannot remember any unpleasant experiences. The new super store is very nice, very big and unfamiliar. Most everyone has gone out of their way to help us find the items for which we are looking. There are a lot of new young employees who are not up to par. They seem to have lots of social time. I see them visiting in the back of the store and in the checkout. The management staff is excellent. I have been helped many times the last 3 months during the transistion of the store. The head manager is TOPS. He is always energetic, friendly and on top of his game. We are always treated with respect and assured we are valued.
As a former member of Junior Achievement in Augusta, GA, I can atest to their dedication to the youth of the community. I can credit my career as a journalist & TV reporter to my years of training in JA. I was an officer in the company at WJBF TV6 where I anchored and did on camera interviews for our JA produced TV shows and sold advertising to community business owners. Thank you Junior Achievement for helping me make contacts in the career field that I love and for real world experience dealing with Augusta business and political leaders. My road to success started in the mid 1970s in JA in Augusta, GA.
AWESOME, AWESOME, AWESOME!!! I have had the pleasure of being the staff member in my office to place orders for birthday cakes of the employees. Each and every time was a slam dunk!! The cakes are sooooo good! The orders were always on time, always fresh and decorated beautifully! I don't order cakes from anywhere else now.
They staff here are accommodating and helpful especially if you are searching for a particular product. They are glad to help.
