I would like to Welcome you to Doxon Toyota of Auburn. My Name is Mark Doxon and I'm proud to represent my families 4 generations in the car business since 1938. We are celebrating our 52nd year with Toyota in 2016. Today our Business is 110 staff to look after your automotive needs. Our facility was completely renovated in 2012, to give our customers the amenities they deserve while visiting. 3 separate waiting rooms, a quiet room, Wifi.. , a kids play area, complimentary Starbucks coffee, Warm cookies freshly baked during the day and beverages. A Indoor heated service write up area and a indoor new and used car delivery area. We take pride today that it looks as it did 3 years ago in cleanliness and comfort to our customers. We're expanding this year too... A new service building dedicated to our express maintenance oil changes will open soon. More stalls, staffing and equipment will get us on track to hit our promise times in 2016, which is so important to our customers. We also purchased additional property just north of our current lot to display more new and used vehicles. Plan for opening is April this year. 2015 saw tremendous growth in our sales department. We are continuing to improve our sales process to make car buying transparent and easy.. The Consumer demands that from our industry, and we are listening. I would not recommend bringing...

I would not recommend bringing your car to Doxon Toyota for service after they defrauded me with an unnecessary $700 repair when I brought mine in because the VVT-i system (Variable Valve Timing - Intelligent) was malfunctioning and thowing a code P1349 (VVT-i Controller not responding). This involves several parts besides the VVT-i Controller, including a selenoid, valve (the Oil Control Valve), OCV filter, oil supply from the pump, computer (g-d forbid it being that!) and associated wiring. They immediately declared the VVT-i controller to be at fault, the most expensive part (except the computer) as well as the most expensive in labor, resulting in a $700+ repair bill w/o even testing the other components even though I specifically asked them to test the rest first. The service adviser even admitted that it is not uncommon for the Oil Control Valve to stick resulting in the same behavior. I got the car back and it was doing the same thing. I will be returning next week, after diagnosing the real issue myself to see if they can fix it, and trying to get my money back for the fraudulent repair.



Well, to make a long story short, I fixed the car by simply cleaning the Oil Control Valve and bringing it back to Doxon a couple times to show them (1) that I continued getting 1349 failures after their repair but before my cleaning (2) that it was running perfectly and getting no more failures after the OCV was cleaned. They refunded me the repair 100% and are going to review cleaning the OCV before VVT-i controller replacement with the service staff (not a Toyota approved procedure, but it might cost them less in the long run in terms of lost customers). So re-rating them as a 3 since they followed through, but I would be cautious non-the-less.
