AGAIN-DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME-THEIR BIKE REPAIR PRICES MAY SEEM VERY REASONABLE, HOWEVER, THAT IS NOT WHERE THEY MAKE THEIR $$$$-TAKE A LOOK AT THEIR BIKE SALE PRICES, THEY FIGURE BECAUSE THEY HAVE TO WARRANTY/GUARANTEE THE BIKES THAT THEY SELL THAT THEY HAVE TO JACK UP THE PRICES REAL HIGH, STOP IN AND TAKE A LOOK, BETTER YET, JUST STAND OUTSIDE AND LOOK THRU THE WINDOW- LET THE TRUTH BE TOLD-THEY ADVERTISE THAT THEY ACCEPT TRADES, THEY ARE NOT MAN ENOUGH TO ADVERTISE THAT THEY DO NOT ACCEPT WALMART BIKES-THEY WOULD RATHER HAVE YOU GO ALL THE WAY THERE FOR NOTHING.I -DON'T CARE HOW LONG ANYONE HAS BEEN GOIN THERE, ETC. LET THE TRUTH BE TOLD-CERTAINLY NOT RECOMMENDED-FIND A REPUTABLE, BIKE DEALER WHO WILL NOT TRY AND RIP YOU OFF.
Found out last minute my son needed his bike for a long bike trip. It needed repair - LOTS of repair! Took it to Mike's. VERY helpful and courteous service! Made my boy's cheap Wal-Mart bike SAFE and ready for the trip in UNDER 2 HOURS! For less than 40 BUCKS!!
These people complaining about the service there, are bringing in things that belong in a small engine shop, not a bicycle shop. My family and myself have gone to Mikes since 1997. We are in the second generation of family customers that frequent Mikes. The service ON WHAT IS SPECIALIZED THERE is second to none.
Perhaps if you want to buy a bike or have them service one you bought there go ahead support the local guy. If you're a DIY'er and are way beyond your skill set trying to fix your project bike forget about it- I was hours of frustrated before I brought in my electric recumbant becuase it kept throwing the chain and they just wanted to find faults with the kit not help fix my problem
