Complete jerk on the phone because I couldn't hear him over the static on line. Cab was 22 minutes late and took a bunch of side roads to change a $8 ride to $11.50. I'll walk before I call these morons again.
I always turn to National Cab when I need transportation in Maine. When I booked Ahmed for a Saturday afternoon trip to PWM during busy Bowdoin Comm…
My girlfriend and her sister called five star for a ride to work. They said it would be a 45 minute wait. An hour and 37 minutes later a cab finally showed up. I personally called them around 50 times. It kept going straight to voicemail. So I learned two things today. One, we will never call this cab company ever again. And two, apparently it takes a degree in rocket science to drive a car from point A to point B.
They have one guy who literally smokes crack in the car while driving (Bruce). Two women (Kathy and Carol) who turn tricks in the cab that the old dude (Sam) sets up for them.
Advertises 24 hour dispatch. Called the night before to schedule a 7:30 AM pick up and he said they don't open until 9 AM which makes me wonder if they are really much of a taxi business.
The drivers are generally friendly and know the layout of the cities, but the dispatching system is anything but smooth running. Three times in the last year I've called for a pickup, and the cab simply didn't show up. Lacking a cellphone at the times, I couldn't followup, but why should I have to? The rates are set by law, so no reason to gripe there. They need a dispatcher who speaks and understands English, and who actually dispatches. The other cab service in town is worse, so I'm stuck with the lesser of two evils.
The driver seemed reluctant to tell the price and at the end I found out why! It was 10 $ for a 2 mile ride! And on top of that, the cabin stunk like rotting burrito's from Taco Bell or something. :/
Superb customer service!! The gentleman who came to our house to pick up my family for our ride to the airport arrived earlier than scheduled. He was very clean cut and his cab was spotless.I would strongly recommend calling Tri Town Taxi for any ride no matter how short or how far. This is not your typical cab company!!!
Horrible--they beep the horn over and over again (I work evenings so I need to sleep a little later). They are picking up my tenant who lives on the 3rd floor and cannot hear the horn. They have his number, so they could call him to let him know they are here. We tried to talk to the driver but he didn't care so we called the manager and he didn't care either. Bad service!
Horrible. I was told id have to wait 10 minutes and i understand sometimes id have to wait a little longer then the time given but seriously an extra 40 minutes is ridiculous. I was late for work. There was a weird black stain on the seat of the car McDonalds trash in the back seat along with used scratch tickets and napkins and more. My driver didn't know how to get to my house or my destination. Which if i were to say where i believe just about anyone could tell you where it is. on top of that it was 10 dollars for a ride that has cost me 5 dollars every other day this week. don't know why honestly i think the driver just wanted some extra money. NEVER CALLING AGAIN.
Terrible customer service! Whoever answered phone was very impatient sounded jacked up on pills, coke, or worse. Actually got hung up on due to ignorance of employee. If that was the owner, even worse. Wow, and you're still in business, haha, good luck in life with that attitude. Hope your day goes better man!
