Rented a home in Rocklin, the management company, CA Investors, was questionable, but we needed somewhere to live ASAP. So, we rented this small old house and had a horrible experience in this home with rodents, mold, mildew, cigarette smoke in the walls and carpet, spider infested, plumbing problems and none of it was ever fully repaired. The owner, Elaine Becknell was not helpful and at the end of our lease, kept majority of our security deposit. We were warned by the teller at Wells Fargo in Auburn that this company was known for keeping the security deposits. She had a bad experienced with CA Investors.
0 STARS. 2256 Sierra Meadows Dr, Ste B, Rocklin, CA 95677As first time commercial tenants, we were excited to move in during the summer and gave a $2100 deposit. We later found out, there was no hot water and we never went through a check-list to make sure everything was in working order...we just assumed it did, HARRY CARR never showed us a checklist or walk thru. We've never rented a commercial place before and I guess they were happy to take advantage of that. We asked for the hot water to be checked and after months after move in (winter now), they said its OUR PROBLEM. We never use hot water, stayed on time paying tenants for 3 years. They increased rent every year by $100. Later the AC stopped working...they said it was our responsibility, so I replaced a part...cost $500. When they renovated last year, they charged us for replacing their outside building lights...because, "its on our building". We decided enough is enough after their last $100 increase and moved out 2017, I made sure that we complied with all the rules to get our money back...in fact, during the pre-inspection I asked if there was anything else that would be deducted and CAROL the representative said, "Everything looks great." I told her that I wanted to confirm this and she said "YES, you shouldn't have a problem getting your deposit."We clean, patched, replaced bulbs, vacuumed, scrubbed....everything. So I was confident we would be good.NOPE. THEY TOOK $$$. They charged us for things that we could have of fixed ahead of time, but was not told to during pre-inspection...and waited after we moved out, receiving a letter 27 days in their 30 day window with repair costs. I would NOT EVER RECOMMEND this property management company. THEY WILL TAKE YOU FOR AS MUCH AS THEY CAN. If you don't believe me, just go ask the tenants who are still there and see how they feel about the management.
