My husband brought me here for breakfast on my birthday. I ordered the Little Mess with sausage, which was a plate piled with potatoes, chopped up breakfast links, mushy zuchini, a few mushroom slices, & grape tomatoes. Totally bland & somewhat greasy. He enjoyed his over-easy eggs, which is why I rate AA's 3 stars. At hubby's insistence, I ordered a "world-famous" bloody mary, which came loaded with spicy veggies & their "world famous" spice blend. It was chokingly hot & Worcestershire-heavy. To me, Worcestershire is what poor bartenders rely on. The very friendly and accommodating waitress offered to "replace" my drink--however, half was poured out and tomato juice added, which essentially turned the cocktail into spicy tomato juice. Better off not starting my birthday with alcohol anyway!
I've heard from many people that this place is great and I don't know why it took so long for us to try it! AMAZING! First off the feel and ambience of old Auburn is a factor but the food and beer selection hit it out of the park. Run fast this place is that good! Great service on a New Year's Eve lunch. We started with the Ahi nachos and had the fried chicken. The menu is very diverse with more then just bar eats. Fried chicken, jambalaya, lettuce wraps, salads... its a diverse menu. All house made beers and the Fools Gold IPA seemed to be a hit. They have wine too.
Ok.. In the last 20 years I have gone her on and off and they were really great. Not so much now and their pricing is somewhat higher. Not at all as busy anymore but that I thing is it was bought out a few years back. I remember you had to wait in line just to order and it also was double the size it is today. Still they are pretty good dogs. Frays are not as good now.
We just tried Salt & Pepper for the first time. We had thecweekend brunch and it was wonderful--- the crispy polenta with bacon and sausages.....delicious. The eggs benedict and homemade blueberry muffins were also great. The staff was friendly and it was wonderful to sit outside on the patio. We are looking forward to trying lunch and dinner next!
Very good burritos with an American twist. Interesting flavor combinations like Cajun Chicken and options like Pepper Jack cheese make this place stand out as a unique option in the Mexican food landscape. Tasty, fresh, fast and friendly!! I personally love this place. Highly recommend to others.
I don't know how I've lived in this town for two years and not known or heard about this place. The burgers are AMAZING!!!! And they aren't expensive at all! The staff was really nice and accommodating to myself and friends who at a total of 5 kids with us. Can't wait to go back!
They use the BEST ingredients when it comes to there Dogs and Sausages. Fresh and processed the way they are supposed to be done. And if you go away hungry. You shouldn't have looked outside while the rest of the family pillaged your plate. And great people to boot..;-}
Used to love it here. Last few visits were disappointing. Kitchen not prepared for crowds. Sent back fish for it tasting not fresh. Chef apologized said it was frozen they ran out of fresh. If you run out don't serve poor quality just say you're out.
spending the morning at the library?? Got kids? Single? Hungry at lunchtime??? here is your fix: affordable, low key, great service BY THE OWNER himself!!! I love it and I am a young adult with very little money to boot!! I love Moms Kitchen!!!
Ventured out to try a new restaurant and was not disappointed. Enjoyed a croissants breakfast sandwich. Sandwich was so big it could have been shared. Friendly and efficient staff. Definitely will return to try more of the menu.
