Kim's Nails

If i could give less than one star I would.

I went in with my co-worker for each of us to get manicures. The sign says $10.00 for a manicure, and $2.00 for designs. I decided I wanted to get a design on each of my ring fingers, a simple flower. They informed me it would be $2.00 each finger, and I decided I did not want to pay that high of a price for a 5-dot flower.

They started my manicure and I was surprised when I got my nails filed, cuticles trimmed and was asked to wash my hands. Then I paid as he (the owner) asked, $10.00. He painted my nails and my co-worker was surprised I was done before her, who sat down ten minutes before I did. I asked her what she meant and she told me that she got her nails filed, buffed, cuticles trimmed, cuticle oil applied, lotioned hands and a hand massage, AND her nails painted with a base coat, two coats of nail polish and top coat. AND I WAS FINISHED BEFORE HER. I asked the man if I could get some of my money back because I did not get the full service and he told me no refunds. So instead I asked if I could get one design free, and I would pay $2.00 for the other since I got jipped on my mani. He ignored me. I asked a second time and he began screaming in his language at me and got up and went to another customer and started working on her full set. Another woman sat down (the other owner, his wife) and brought out the acrylic paint and asked me to pay an additional $4.00. I explained to her the situation that I had got jipped and that I wanted $2.00 off (one free design) in lieu of the whole service that I had paid for. She claimed she didn't understand and dipped her brush in the paint. I told her that I was not going to pay another $4.00 because of what had already happened and reiterated what I had already told her. She said she would give me $2.00 back, and when I said thank you and it was just all a misunderstanding the other owner came over and started screaming at me in his native language, and once he was finished the woman started yelling at me also. "You pay, you pay, you owe $4.00" and when I said I hadn't even got the designs put on and that I was not going to pay for them because of everything that happened, I just wanted my nails to be painted and to get out of there. I thought that she had realized that she was about to lose my business, and she got the lotion and told me that she "fix, i fix now". She squirted lotion on my palms and instructed me to rub them together and to leave the store.



I have never been more disrespected before. I work hard for my money, as anyone does and all I wanted was fair and equal service. The owners of this establishment were so unprofessional and rude that I felt the need to write a review on here (something I have never done). So, all in all, I paid $10.00 for a file, a crappy paint job and public humiliation. Word to the wise if you actually want to get what you pay for DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME HERE!
