This place was fantastic! There's something about knowing the phone number and going in through a phone booth that feels so special! We actually came from upstairs; we'd eaten at Amalfi prior. The cocktails were seriously delicious. You can't go wrong with any of them! The service was excellent and everyone who came to our table told me happy birthday. The vibe itself is amazing, with dark wood paneling, a painted ceiling and plush couches. You're able to smoke cigars there, but the filtration system makes the air very breathable. The waiter had fantastic suggestions of what to order. All in all, it was a fantastic night!

It's all true :) This place is fantastic. If you're looking for a _large_ selection of beer, excellently prepared bar food with vegetarian options, hip atmosphere and good service. I went there on a week night, sat at one of the many tables in the back. We got recommendations for beer and orders black bean burger / mussels / cesar salad. I messed up my order and asked for the arugula side salad after the order was already in; it got delivered promptly and didn't show on the bill. Wow. Service was prompt and with a smile. Prices very fair for the quality. We had a great time and will be back.
I visited Verde a few years ago and wasn't impressed; however, I was completely blown away during my last experience about a week ago. The service was fantastic and accommodating, especially considering our large group and multiple needs. The four dips (queso, salsa, black bean dip and guac) were amazing and possibly some of the best dips in the city. The quesadilla I had was pretty good. And, the margarita was great! I had one margarita and it was strong but not overbearing. The prices were great, and I had a fantastic time. I'm definitely going back.
One of the hottest spots in Old Fourth Ward/Inman Park on weekend evenings. A lot of groups come here before they go out on the weekends to start their night. Hop City has an extensive beer selection - they have a big list of both local beers (they mark them so you know), as well as beers from around the world. Quick, efficient staff that keeps long lines moving so you never have to wait too long, even when it's packed. If you grab a beer from Hop City, you're able to walk around Krog Street Market with it if you're waiting for a table at a restaurant.
my entire staff bought me a gift certificate to this place. when i tried to use the certificate for a 6 pack; they denied it. they stated that i had to use the whole amount in a single visit. this is NOT a good way to do business people ! this alienates me as a new customer. this alienates my staff members as customers as well as our friends and business contacts. In this day and age of social media, make your business more sensible and allow the use of gift certificates as any other business would...as cash.
Green's on Ponce is a great liquor store. Not only do they have a wonderful beer selection (though their wine choices are a bit lacking) they also have most liquors you could want, mixers, cigarettes, and other last-minute drinking needs. The best part about Greens is the crowd. This place is truly democratic--everybody likes to drink! So you see businessmen and soccer moms in line with college kids and welfare moms. Plus they play the tv so you have something to do while waiting in line. A great store!
My first time coming here was just for drinks on a Friday night with girlfriends. The place has a very sexy and sophisticated vibe. I assumed it would just be a drink spot but then a few weeks later I went for dinner and was very happy with the food and service! The outdoor seating is perfect for the Georgia summer evenings. Worth checking out. Parking can be a pain so id recommend ubering. I spent $24 parking in the deck adjacent to the restaurant and I was only there for tops three hours
My husband and I heard about this place from some friends of ours. We typically do not go beyond the norm when it comes to entertainment but this bar (it is a gay bar) was a riot. We had dinner when we got there on the incredible torch lit patio (dinner was cheap, but good!) and afterwards we saw a drag show that was so funny my stomach hurt when we left. Plenty of free parking and they don't even charge at the door. We recommend this as an alternative to all the other boring stuff!!
Tower has a decent liquor selection and I don't know much about the wine selection but the beer selection blows me away. They have just about everything you could ask for here. Mainstream brews, Microbrews and one-off craft brews from around the US and around the world. If you can't find it here, you might not be able to find it anywhere and they'll even order your beer if they don't have it. The great beer section is what keeps me coming back to Tower.
A small mom and pop store that endeavors to be the best that they can be. You will not find a more friendly place to buy alcohol...period. This is a relatively small neighborhood liquor store. But it has great selection for its size. More important it has a very friendly and knowledgeable staff. This is a store that I want to visit because of the people that work here. And it helps that it is about a mile from my house.
