Probably the worst vacation experience my husband and I have ever had. Avoid Vacation Express at all costs.We booked a trip to Punta Cana thinking it would be easy and no stress. We pre-booked and pre-paid for two excursions in advance and were advised we would get the days / times for the excursions once we got to the hotel and met with their representative there.First, our flight to Punta Cana was delayed 10 hours. We boarded the plane and had to wait for them to send a flight attendant because apparently they didn't have enough on the plane. We didn't get to our hotel until midnight which meant we missed an entire day of our vacation. Since we missed the first day of our vacation, we had to meet with the VE representative the next morning to get our days and times for excursions. First we had to sit through a sales presentation for excursions even though we already had ours booked. The rep took our paper and told us to come back at 11:30 that morning to get the times. (Meaning we had to plan our entire morning around this, effectively not only missing the previous day of our vacation but also the first morning we had at the resort) The transportation for one of the excursions never showed up and we were told it was fully booked at every other time so we paid for something we never even got to do. We wasted 2 whole mornings of our trip dealing with excursions we'd pre-booked.The transportation back to the airport never showed up on our last day so we had to split a cab with another family to make our flight. We got the airport and called VE when boarding time came and went with no sign of an airline rep or plane and found out it was delayed. They never informed us of a delay.There is no customer service line to call and when I tried to get through, the reservations agent hung up on me and wouldn't let me speak to a manager. This company is a total scam.
Vacation Express should get a negative 5 review. DO NOT use them! My friends and I experienced the worst trip to the Dominican Republic in September 2017. The hotel that Vacation Express recommended (Occidental Caribe) was terrible - rude staff, terrible accommodations in two different rooms (broken doors, stained towels, broken toilets, nasty disgusting showers). When we called Vacation Express for help, their "supervisor" was rude, condescending, and disrespectful. The representative on site lied to us. Vacation Express wanted us to pay additional money to go to a new hotel and said that we most likely would be penalized for leaving Occidental Caribe early. However, the representative on site never mentioned that to us until we had spent half a day looking for a new hotel, and then lied and said she told us that. So we would be paying double for one hotel stay. Vacation Express said that’s their policy – so beware. The “Post Travel” Dept is not helpful and Vacation Express refuses to take any responsibility or acknowledge the treatment we received from the reps. Look for another travel agency, unless you want to flush your money down the toilet and enjoy a ruined vacation.
Horrific. These are scammers and the BBB & FTC are on to them as well as the DeKalb District Attorney. I personally am looking at a 18,500 loss of funds. Report them if they contact you..
"You should have read the fine print" - Monique, Supervisor from Vacation Express. 48 hours before I trip departed, Vacation Express alerts us that the hotel is over booked and that they don't have a room for us. Over 4 hours on the phone, most of it on hold, only to find out that we either pay $1000 more, or they'll give us our money back. The most horrific customer service experience I've ever had in my life. If Comcast had a travel agency, this would be it.Please learn from our mistake and do not risk losing your entire vacation time to this unprofessional, sad excuse for a travel agency.
Terrible travel agency, i would give them zero stars if i could. terrible customer service was very rude to me and didn't answer any of my questions. They kept pushing me into purchasing packages and upgrades. things that i didnt even need or want......was a waste of my time!! NEVER VISIT THIS SITE.
The BEST travel agency I've ever encountered. I enjoyed my trip so much and the travel agent that booked me was so kind! She knew her stuff and planned an awesome trip to Punta Cana for me. Thanks Personal Touch team, the girls and I had a blast.
TOTALLY HORRIBLE, UNPLEASANT EXPERIENCE.In spite of being a repeat customer, the agent namely REYNA gave us a international reservation without informing us the baggage allowances. We ended up paying about $1000 more for the extra bags we had to carry for our trip. Having realized even before travel, there was no response to me email or voice messages what so ever.Also, she blatantly lied regarding connection transits saying that they are on the same terminal. Can't imagine how anybody can do that having known the we are travelling with an infant and child. Worst people to deal with !!!!!
I just returned from a great trip to Montego Bay. Personal Touch Tours handled everything, including transportation to and from the hotel. The resort came recommended by LaCresia, the travel agent. It was a great place to stay. I will be using their services in the future.
please please please do not use this travel agency you would be better off by finding another. this travel agency is very unprofessional not accommodating at all and not accurate in the beginning as to what you're going to get for your money. A luxury bus tour to the Holy Land in Orlando was more like an bad experience on a roach coach. one of the travel agents by the name Ms. Barbara is very condescending and extremely unprofessional. to assure that you are satisfied and not disappointed I would definitely stay away from this travel agency
Uniglobe Five Star Travel has been my first choice for travel assistance for 10 years. My family and friends have booked cruises, hotels, air travel, tours and restaurants. He has been there to solve any issues that we might have and in his absence someone was always available to fill in for him. I would highly recommend this agency for all your travel needs.
