I am all for giving second chances because hey who does everything right the first time around… I mean we are humans and we ALL make mistakes right? In life you learn that it doesn’t matter how you make the mistake, it’s what you do to fix it and more importantly that you learn to never make that same type of mistake twice. With that being said… Cinco Mexican Cantina has definitely learned that lesson 100 folds over! The first time I went to Cinco my experience was not so pleasant, and I did voice my opinion not expecting anything in return but WOW! Did that establishment prove me wrong! It all started when the CEO of FIVE Restaurant Group (owner of the Cinco Mexican Cantina restaurants) called me personally (yes little ol’ me) to apologize about my experience and invited me and my 30 guests back to the restaurant for dinner. When we arrived for the dinner party the customer service was outstanding! Our waiters- Tony and Levon treated us with 5-star service. Levon reviewed and explain in full detail about each item on the menu, I was totally impressed! Not only was I impressed but my guests were so happy. One guests said I feel like I am on the Food Network because the wait staff was there for our every need! How could I forget the food… very very very good! My food was excellent; I had the grilled salmon with a jalapeño potato cake and asparagus. This dinner was really for my guests because had it been just for me I would have never complained about the first dining experience, but my guests came to support me and I wanted to make sure they were happy and they were more than satisfied with our Re-do dinner yesterday! I learned a very important lesson- why not give a second chance? You never know, the second chance might be a lasting impression. I will remember Cinco Mexican Cantina as a restaurant with great service, suberb food, cool atmosphere and amazing customer service! You should definitely try it out; I promise you will not be disappointed. Muy Muy Bueno!
This place was recommended to me by one of my friends because it is her favorite restaurant! PURE serves free chips and salsa (yay!) which is always a great way to start a meal. My friend and I love cheese so we ordered the Queso Gringo ($5.99) which “is a traditional mexican cheese dip served with pickled jalapeños”. We mixed the jalapeños into the cheese and it made for an awesome spicy dip- I definitely recommend it! “Taquitos de Pollo”- I loved how crunchy these were and how the ingredients definitely seemed high quality. For my sides, I also got Mexican chorizo rice and charro beans. This restaurant is spacious and has a parking lot for easy parking! My friend and I went on a Sunday night and there wasn’t a wait! We sat outside where there was a cute little patio! i definitely recommend going to PURE Tacqueria for a meal! I think the food could be compared to something you’d find at La Fonda or Tacqueria del Sol but it was still delicious and filling!
Had an AMAZING night at Bartaco two weeks ago. I stop in this location all the time but this night particularly stood out. We started with drinks and guac at the bar- amazing! The fresh, hand squeezed margaritas are the best I've ever had. The guac is delicious and has a great consistency- not too creamy/mushy. We sat outside by the fireplace to eat- the atmosphere was incredible. The decorations, lighting, and crowd were perfect. We sampled one of everything on the menu including their new mystery taco which had ahi tuna on a bib of lettuce. Every single taco was delicious- but the fried oyster taco and duck taco were my personal favorites. Will come back to this location again and again. Management and staff are a dream and the food is worth every penny. Very trendy spot for dinner or drinks... or both!
Guaco Joes took over the southwest style La Paz restaurant about a year or so ago, and I was glad to see they kept a lot of fan favorites on the menu, such as the “Chicken and Spinach Suiza Enchilada” and often hard to find calabacita veggie dish. They have a good margarita menu—lots of choices as well non-alcoholic Agua Frescas (fruity mocktails). Guaco Joes is great for families—the kids menu comes as a coloring book (not just 1 page) so your kids can stay occupied and Ipad-free for the whole meal. Additionally, the kids meals have a nice variety of kid-friendly Mexican favorites, so you can easily sway the little ones away from the ubiquitous chicken nuggets. (They also come with healthy side dishes.) We love Guaco Joes-it’s great for evening family dinners or date night with your significant other.
Do you have those friends that can't eat this and can't it that? Well I do and this is how I ended up here . This is the one time eating out with my picky friend paid off. She lives the gluten free life and they have an amazing menu filled with just gluten free items. If you love salsa and you love guacamole this will be a match made in heaven for you. They call it the Guacamole & Salsa tasting. You get three of each. If you add a few cocktails you may forget about ordering dinner. The atmosphere is nice and the bartender was just the best. I truly love someone who loves their job and has tried the food on the menu. This allows them to give you their true opinion vs what's popular. This is a nice place to meet up with friends or just a nice dinner date with the boo.
Bar Taco nails it on atmosphere. You walk in and instantaneously get happy (and in the mood for a margarita or two). This is the perfect place for a quick weeknight dinner, after work drink, or for a Friday night group dinner with friends. Service is good, food is good (and relatively inexpensive), drinks are great, and most of the time it is easy to split the bill. Tacos are SMALL so make sure you order at least 3. Don't just go for dinner. The lunch special is a great deal...three tacos and your choice of soup or salad for $10! Parking at the Buckhead location is easy and free and wait times are extremely reasonable (I have never waited more than 20 minutes and typically, I don't wait at all).
I LOVE Bartaco! I love their ambience, patio, and especially their food! My go to favs are the cauliflower tacos (which I sometimes get with lettuce instead of tortilla), corn on the cob, guacamole, and last but not least their plantains. You must get the plantains. They are delicious paired with their dipping sauce which I assume is tartar sauce. Either way those two were a match made in heaven. Their food and service is always awesome and the most important thing is that everything is always constant. I can expect the same food and service whenever I go, which is very nice. Keep up the good work Bartaco and please could you open one up near me? (I live around Marietta)
Five stars for the food is a must here. When you are in the mood for really unhealthy, authentic Mexican food, this is the place to go. Pretty inexpensive for a ton of food and everyone there is pretty nice. I've only ever picked up and taken home to eat but they've never gotten an order of mine wrong. I usually go for the #12 which includes a chalupa, taco and enchilada. I've tried the chicken, but the ground beef is by far the better choice. The queso is always spot on. My coworkers and I look forward to ordering here at least once a month. Would recommend for any girls night or a meal you want to take home to eat in front of the tv. Delicious.
I visited Alma Cocina for lunch and it was good. I think if you are looking for more upscale Mexican this is your place. The restaurant is located in an office building and its "outdoor space" is basically an indoor patio that overlooks the lobby of the building. To start I got the guacamole which was good but I thought it was a bit overpriced ($9) for the portion. For an entree I ordered the grilled salsa verde shrimp tacos that were seasoned pretty well but did have a lot of onion. Probably too much. It came with black beans and poblano chile rice which was delicious. This restaurant is good for a quick lunch if you work on the area.
This spot has some good Tex-Mex selections and drink selections, and lots of HD TV's will make this a favorite spot for watching sports games. They also have many events although I haven't participated in any of them yet. I usually get the Fish Tacos and fried pickles which are always outstanding....I mostly drink beer so I don't have any experience with the different drinks they offer, but they have a good selection especially for margaritas. The Fajitas are also another winner here if you're a fajita lover like myself. It's always a plus to see cute girls in the staff, and Twisted Taco does a pretty good job here.
