I started my evening on the rooftop fully stocked bar overlooking the cosmopolitan view of the Buckhead shops and city. After quenching our thirst over happy hour. We headed down to the 2nd floor where we had reservations for dinner. We feasted entreees of various steaks, tuna tartar, family style sides of savory garlic green beans, perfectly seasoned brussel sprouts, icey cold oysters, pan fried golden potatoe cakes, gooey mac-n-cheese, and homemade biscuits (that reminded me of the red lobster bisquits). The divine wine full bodied wine was the perfect touch to our meal. The service was top notch despite the fully reserved restaurant. In receiving our check we were quite surprised that we had been charged extra for butter for our$30-50 steaks. I was not able lo finish my steak tuna tartar. After the third request the server finally up my food, but forgot to close the bottom of the tartar, which has seeped into the steak box and through the paper bag, which I then had to toss the unsalvageable food.

So I have to give myself props for choosing STK's 3rd anniversary party as the night of my first visit to the restaurant. I got to have an even better experience because it was party time!It was a bit louder than I'm sure it usually is. But it didn't take away from much overall. The DJ was really good. As for the food....OMG it was awesome! The bread that was brought out before our meals was tasty. I ordered the Skirt Steak with Crab Oscar (loved it) along with the Broccolini (so so good). Now, every time I see broccolini on a menu somewhere, I have to try it to see if it tastes the same. We also had Raspberry Mama shots and I had a Strawberry Cobbler (my drink was missing the graham cracker crusted rim for some reason, though). And because it was STK's anniversary, we received a free small bottle of Veuve Clicquot with souvenir glasses. Cheers!I'll be back for sure--whether it's to celebrate each anniversary, or I just want to enjoy an excellent meal and celebrate life.
I love everything about STK! The food, the atmosphere, the service -- it is all great here! Obviously, you can't go wrong with the steak at this midtown steakhouse. During the summer, try the 8-oz prime ribeye cap, one of the richest, rarest and most prized cuts of steak. It’s served with a green garlic butter sauce and pickled mushrooms (more details about it here: http://bit.ly/1TYMlrP). The menu changes seasonally throughout the year, but you can count on consistently good food every time you visit. Seafood is great at STK as well (love the seared scallops and the yellowfin tuna). Plus, there's always a great event going on in the bar area -- perfect for mingling and/or people watching.
The location of this place is amazing and the outside area with the fire pit is perfect for a glass of wine with the girls. However, don't try and sit there to eat, because the ledge of the pit doesn't hold plates very well. The food is delicious and the bread puffs with cheese that they bring to each table are to die for. We tried the grilled chicken entree with macaroni and spinach. Amazing. The staff was a little slow, since we waited about half an hour and finally called a waiter over to take our entree orders. They also didn't see if we needed water refills. Other than that, they were fine. They have complimentary valet parking which is hard to find in Buckhead! Enjoy.
Wow!! My husband and I went here for our first anniversary & we already plan on going back for our second. Now it's pricey, I must admit...but we agree it was worth every penny. We enjoyed the amazing steak for 2 along with homestyle mac 'n cheese and mashed potatoes. A true southern girl's dream if you ask me! Also, when they found out it was our first anniversary they threw in free dessert which rocked. The atmosphere is inviting too, we were pretty dressed up, but realized we could have toned it down a notch as their were also people in jeans & a nice top! Can't wait to go back :o)
Great steakhouse in the Dunwoody/Sandy Springs area! Fantastic atmosphere -- it's a white table cloth restaurant, but it feels very warm and welcoming. The wine list is very impressive! And the food is outstanding. You can taste how fresh each ingredient is! Obviously, steak is a must order here, and they have plenty of options to satisfy whatever you're in the mood for. The seafood selections are also worth noting, and the appetizers will blow you away! The carpaccio is incredible, and the classic wedge salad at Maya comes with candied bacon -- very tasty! O-M-G stands for "Oh Marcel Goodness". This place is awesome. The restaurant gave off such a dark, smooth, sexy vibe as soon as I stepped through the door...and I was loving it. I knew if the food tasted as good as this place looked, I'd be a fan. Thankfully, our meal was great. Service was impeccable. There were several members of the wait staff that stopped to check on things, without being annoying. Everyone was very friendly. The whole experience here was everything. This restaurant named after a French boxer is a TKO.
Had an awesome experience here the other night. Was with a big group, and they were busy, but our service was on point. Had the think cut bacon and cocktail shrimp as an app, both were excellent, not just your standard "shrimp cocktail" by any means. The steak was cooked perfectly and the springer mountain chicken was crispy on the outside but moist and tender. The creamed spinach was to die for too. Delicious! Will definitely be coming back here, lots of really great menu items to try!
STK never disappoints me with the food. I visited on a Thursday evening with a friend where it was pretty quiet to start the evening but it progressively got busier. There was a female dj that was great so the atmosphere was awesome. A must try is the scallop BLT appetizer that is light but really tasty and for an entree I recommend the cobia fish with the olive oil smashed potatoes. Our server was bubbly and friendly and she seemed to genuinely enjoy her job.
They use quality, fresh ingredients, all the way from the veggies to the meats. I had the filet mignon on the teppanyaki grill, and I promise you it melted in my mouth just like butter. The other dishes on the grill are fantastic too, and you don't even need your typical ginger and yum yum sauces with these dishes. And, the sushi is fantastic! Oh another thing: get the cocktail with the toasted marshmallow. Promise you won't regret it!
