There are 2 things that would bring me back to Urban Cookhouse okay maybe 3. First thing is that they are about using local products in their kitxhen...motto farm to fire to table. Second thing being their broccoli salad. I didn't know I liked it until I got the first bite. And the third and finally thing being their hand baked cookie...OMG so worth all the walking I needed to do make sure it didn't stay on my hips. Family friendly restaurant with a drive thru when you've got to get dinner on the go.
I am a big foodie so, this place is like heaven to me ! You can find just about everything you need and some of what you don't need. Spices and foods from around the world. Fresh vegetables , fruit and seafood. They even have a hot bar. The one thing that I really love is that they always have blue crabs and being from Florida that is a must. If you haven't been then you need to stop what you're doing and go check them out. You will be happy that you did.
I shopped at the Buford Farmer's Market this weekend. The selection of fruits, vegetables, and seafood was great. I even saw something that I haven't seen in a long time, it was sour sop. This is a fruit that normally grows in tropical regions and it's very sweet and delicious. I also got a chance to taste a leeche nut. I recommend everyone visit the Buford Farmer's Market. It has something for everyone.
The Buford Farmer's Market is conventiently located just outside the perimeter right off of the I-285. There as wide selection of ethnic foods. The produce section is huge and you can find just about anything from all over the world. Head there on the weekend and prepare for a feast. There are usually samples throughout the store.
