Beautiful waitresses and bartenders

I agree with the complaint about the door girls, (or VIP hostesses whatever you wanna call them). They ALWAYS have an attitude everytime i come and are never welcoming or friendly. The inside staff is a lot friendlier. I was in a VIP section which the blonde waitress sold to me and she is always cool and definately eye candy! Actually all of the waitresses and bartenders are beautiful and nice. Overall my experience at Verve is always pretty good, if you feel like getting the quality experience get a VIP section. Also the food is excellent.

Gauntlet of mad black women

What?s with the little angry girls at the door? I thought I was at a south side Mcdonalds. I?ve seen Tax Auditors get warmer welcomes then these girls gave me and my guests and that?s after getting past the little stammering door guy?he?s was totally useless. Once we got inside I had to ask who the girls are outside and what do they do? Answer: VIP hostesses!...WOW! These chicks were more of a deterrent then stuttering Bob at the door, I truly thought that VIP handlers are supposed to be cordial and accommodating. Oh well, the saving grace was when we got to the bar; We did it up on all the levels and the crowd was good a little younger then I prefer but not too much riff raff(the person who recommended this place hadn?t been in awhile but told me there was a strict dress code. Looks like they got away from that. What a shame). The second level was cool but the patio was hot. But we eventually settled on the ground level where the music better then the other 2 levels. The bartenders were great(especially that fine a.. asian girl with the tat on her back) and fast, it was packed but we got every drink with the quickness. Maybe too quick, this big guy with thick glasses kept popping up next to us drinking as much as we were, I thought he was a customer, turned out he was SECURITY!..WHOA! And then he started yelling at someone to move out of the way or something. A guy that size shouldn?t be drinking on the job, where?s management? I wont say don?t go?But I wont be going back, wait I?m lying I?m going back to holla at that bartender chic but that will be it for me.

Mature Crowd on the 2nd Floor, Fantastic!!

I was at Verve Labor Day Weekend '08. I arrived on Friday night about 1030pm. There was no line and I parked across the street. I stayed on the 2nd floor the entire time, where a live band was playing. The singer and the band were fantastic. The waitress was very helpful and checked on us frequently. The drinks were great and so was the food. I truly enjoyed myself and will visit Verve again the next time I am in Atlanta. Bravo for the Peach Martinis!!!!

Good Times

The occasion was my 25th birthday so I wanted to go all out, so I called to get the VIP bottle service for the rooftop area on a friday night (8/1/08) it was kinda pricey but you expect that right? So I had emailed my guestlist to the ""party planner"" thinking that my people would be able to give there name and have access to the rooftop location not so much the vip line was more crowded than the regular line plus the door girl was giving my people attitude you know how people get when they get a little power!!! So basically I went to the door every time one of my guest arrived to personally give them there wristband and escort them to the rooftop....O yea I didnt have to wait in line and niether the people who arrived with me, so that was a major plus.... When I got comfortable and started to enjoy this beautiful atmosphere it was all coming in to play my guest were there I was looking good, OMG where is the waitress after asking three or four employees ; here she is to save the day.. So after popping bottles of Moet my fav my I add and patron shots I had reached my limit... So you might ask how was it a good time, being in downtown Atlanta on the rooftop of a beautiful decorated venue, great drinks even greater friends and family celebrating my born on date, me looking so glam and every one looking like grown up and mature plus no b.s. the cool August breezes hitting you every once in a while the lighted torches blazing in the background only those VIP people being able to experience that with you is priceless... This was my third time visiting Verve and definently won't be my last ... HEll I might have all my birthdays from now on Verve overall I give Verve a thumbs up...

V's Version of Verve

Verve was pretty great to me. It pretty much had to do with the special treatment from the promoters, and owners. Other than that... It gets VERY crowded(1/2). Its a 3 story lounge/club/restaurant but a bit narrow. Each story has its own personality/flavor/music. You just HAVE to be on the rooftop level though. Nice atmosphere, over looking the street/town, indoor and outdoor option, and i believe its VIP only, with plenty of lounge sofas/chairs/etc... It was nice being outside with fresh air, the DJ, my crew, drinks and NOT crowded. That night we drank with Jazzy Pha, hes a cool, regular, fun dude.

Food is good. Pricey.

Parking is the same wherever you go downtown. $5-$10.

Drinks are reasonably priced and good.

Security is rough. They think they're cops.

Music depends on the DJ that night.

Service was hard to recieve on the 1st and 2nd levels. 3rd(rooftop) level is where its at.

Fridays are better than Saturdays.

Horrible......

Went to Vereve Lounge to celebrate my B-day and that was the worst night of my life. It's over crowded and very hot in there and the bouncers run around yelling at people all night with their over weight fat a....(Jenny Craig) they need a bigger place, stood in line for almost 2 hrs and thats a bunch of BS....I would not refer anyone to that place EVER!!!!!!!!! Someone wrote a comment about the fellows and yes they think that they are the s......and can talk to women any kind of way just because they pull up in a LUXURY CAR that don't make you no better than anybody eles, the only thing is that they make more money but when you a...... kick the bucket you can't take it with ya....How in the hell can you relax when a place is over crowded.....

This venue...

When I first heard of this club I heard nothing but rave reviews. I expected classy, well dressed, well behaved individuals that acted like true adults. Whether it was because of the full moon I have no idea but I have never run across so many disrespectful men, especially in such a classy environment. The women were beautiful and classy - very nice. The ladies were not catty at all, surprisingly. The music was great. The venue was equally nice. I just had a problem with the men. Ladies, if you're reading this and you are a truly classy woman I don't advise this club. Apparently the men think that just because they drive BMW's they can throw temper tantrums, cry like little girls and disrespect you when you don't pay them any attention. And if any of them claim they're playing for the NFL - expect that to be a lie. The club was full of them. Beware. It didn't leave a good impression on the black men of Atlanta. I expected much more out of them.

This place has 'Got it'!

This isn't your run-of-the-mill lounge! I can't express enough how much I loved the setting, the people and the food! On Fridays, you can enjoy a live band on the 2nd tier and the band I saw kicked it! The music selection from the DJ on the first floor was also great with a lot of mixed hits to groove to. The chicken quesadilla was very good...it had a robust flavor and a little kick to it. The drink and bar service were also first rate and the people I went with just had a great all-aroundexperience. You NEED (and I do express 'need') to give Verve a shot--you'll have a great time!

Not your average Atlanta nightclub!

I have been to Verve twice now, and both times I had a wonderful experience. Wednesday night is great - live music until midnight, followed by an upbeat mix of R&B and hip hop (DJ LV). It can get quite crowded which means bar service gets a little slower - but definitely a cozy atmosphere with a friendly urban crowd - not something you find frequently in Atlanta!

Hot lounge and nice atmosphere

I absolutely loved it! The decor is plush and vibrant. The chicken quesadilla was very good...it had a robust flavor and a little kick to it. The Friday night that I attended, there was a live band playing on the 2nd floor with a male and female soloist singing some all time favorite R&B tunes. The DJ was great (1st floor)...he played the latest music and even took it back to some early-mid 90's music that made my girls and I take over the dance floor! We even saw a few celebs while there. If you're looking for a place that's not your typical club scene...I definitely recommend trying out Verve

Needed addition to Atlanta nightlife that definitely stands apart from the rest.

Dined here recently and was pleasantly surprised. The menu is small but everything that our party ordered was wonderful. Order the crab cakes if you go, best in Atlanta. Also check out the rooftop bar with beautiful views of downtown skyline.

Where has this place been?

I've been in Atlanta for 4 years and until experiencing Verve for the first time, I had yet to find a place that had everything I was interested in. Verve has THREE levels, yes three! The first floor is the club and the second floor is the Verve restaurant. The restaurant is fabulous!! The food is cooked by the best chef in Atlanta, Chef Darryl Evans. They have a lamb course that is to die for, the wait staff is very attractive, courteous and all smiles. They know how to hold a conversation and are very knowledgable. Once your done eating, you can either go down stairs to the club or you can go upstairs to the third level lounge area, which has a lovely patio deck and a crazy view of downtown Atlanta. They have it all here, music, food, a GREAT wait staff, the BEST bartenders and three levels to choose from. If you go anywhere else your CRAZY!!

Great customer service, Great sercurity staff

Verve Lounge is a great addition to Atlanta. The food is nice the music is great and the staff is beautiful. I go to the club to meet pople on Friday and Saturday since moving to Atlanta 2 mo. ago. I have meet different people every week. I like the club the atmosphere is nice and the Sercurity staff is great. Especially a young gentlemen name Bruce who works the downstairs V.I.P. He is very respectful. He point you in the right Direction, and informs you about the upstair area. At first I thought the club was only limited to one floor until talking to Bruce. The waitress are beautiful you can tell they are hand pick because of there courtesy and likness. They are fast with getting you drinks and they do it with a smile. The music is great for all ages. I love the fact you do not have to listen to gangster rap they play music that is not demining to women which make them feel comfortable. I feel this is atlanta biggest secret, and I am righting this to let you in on this secreat, and reconmend everyone to come out

Verve Lounge. A restaurant too? Very impressive!

I was reading through a small Atlanta magazine a week or so ago waiting on my hairdresser and I came across an article about a new hot lounge that is full of beautiful people and amazing decor. Since it was right around the corner and I was ready for a few good drinks, I invited my girlfriend to join me there. To my absolute surprise there were three levels, all a little different; some darker (the lounge level has a dance floor and an amazing long red lighted cocktail bar) and some much brighter (the rooftop terrace had an expansive view of the city and the sun). Then there is the Restaurant (this was on the second level). After a few Godiva Chocolate Martini's we decided to see what the restaurant had to offer. I was very impressed with the rooftop level with it's view's, staff, and furnishings, I was hoping the restaurant would be just as cozy and inviting! It was! Comfy velvet seating, candles everywhere, beautiful artwork, and beautiful people! We decided to share a few items from the menu since everything sounded so yummy. Who knew food could have this much flavor! The Wasabi Crusted Talapia was my favorite while Anne loved the Mediterranean Crusted Rackof Lamb . The menu is small but we were informed that the restaurant hasn't fully opened yet with a full menu on the way and to expect a Grand Opening soon. Wow! is all I can say. I never expected a Lounge to have such high quality food. I am used to the typical bland or salty dishes these types of places try to pass off as Gourmet. The few things I tried are now some of my favorites of all time. Verve really has a lot going on. i can't wait for the weekend so I can sample the night life. Stop in and see for yourself. It's truly one of a kind. This is someplace you could stop in at 5oclock and stay all night long. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

waste of time and money!!

Talk about a joke! This place has no idea about the Atlanta nightlife scene. My friends and I were upstairs in the ""V.I.P"" area....ummm it was anything but ""V.I.P""!!! We listened to the same c.d. playing over and over and over and over!! ""Hey Verve!! ever hear of hiring a D.J????!!!"" This place is ridiculus! No dance floor, overpriced, and a clueless staff! Good luck trying to keep this place open!

Verve is Lovely Spot!

I have been going to the Verve periodically since it's opened and it's a great spot for lounging, mix & mingling & great drinks. It has 3 levels with the 1st floor mainly for dancing & lounging, 2nd floor for mingling & dining & 3rd Floor VIP access for mingling & lounging. The decor & atmosphere & scene is on par with Compound & Fever but on the lounge tip since it's not really a place to get your heavy dancing. But Verve makes up for that with the number of beautiful people that come thru the door on a nightly basis.

Verve surpasses it's purpose as a ultra-lounge where you can dance, drink, mingle all in one venue and it's a really great addition to the Atlanta nightlife scene which just lost Visons which was the pioneer of Atlanta upscale nightlife on the large scale/mega club venues. Saturday & Thursday Nights are the best nights to attend so far but check their website for updates.

don't bother w/ this place......

this so called ""hot spot"".....isn't so hot. looks nice and inviting when in fact it's not! there was no air conditioning in this joint, and on a hot atlanta nite is not the way you want to spend your time or money! staff was nice....our waitress was good, but the establishment itself seemed to be very unprepared. definitely would NOT recommend this place......so many other fun places in atlanta...don't even bother w/ this place.
