stopped for lunch here today, first time here, and while the place was nice enough, not impressed with the customer service: I am standing right by the register and no one asks me anything, so I ask for a menu since I don't see any, and was told to hold (which is not an issue), she assists other customers already seated and then FORGETS to give me a menu, so after standing a while and she's back and forth and around from the register, she asks if I've been helped, I said no, she asks what would I like, I say well I don't know yet because I haven't seen what's on the menu, she gets a little annoyed look on her face and said she didn't know I needed one (now how is that possible when I've been the only one standing at the cashier counter for quite a few minutes, with nothing in my hand? and why no apology at this point instead of the sour/annoyed face?), I order, and am given no direction after she charges my card, so now I have to actually ask if she wants me to wait there or where do people with take out orders usually wait for the food, so she points me to the bar, then when the food comes, I double check on my way out if she had put a fork in the bag and sure enough she had not. So, forgot me, forgot my menu, forgot my eating utensils, and no smile and no apology. North River Tavern down the road never gives me that sort of service...just as a comparison...too many options out there for anyone to dish out bad customer service. Also, it wasn't just me, I noted other people (males) who came in and had to ask where to sit for someone to acknowledge them standing there, and instead of just being shown a seat were told they can sit ""wherever."" One guy joked about sitting exactly where he was standing (I am sure it was a subtle hint that ""wherever"" is not an appropriate response) and another group just didn't move off at all after being told that, which forced whichever waitress was addressing them to show them to a seat. I don't know if it's just that they are only use to regulars but I had time to notice all of that because of how long I had to wait just for a menu. My first and last time at your cafe...

Have never had a bad meal here! great to bring customers to! If you can pry yourself away from ordering the wings again, try the Grouper sandwich which is unbelieveable. Fresh, huge and tasty! They never try to pass off tilapia or catfish on you. The waitstaff is always gracious, upbeat and service oriented! Yeah for keeping this North Springs (in the good ole' days) establishment running!
This place has the best wings...my favs are the Lemon Pepper (crispy!!!). I do enjoy their Blue Cheese Potato Chips which are homemade chips with Blue Cheese over them...YUM!!! Also, this is a great place to hang with friends, have a few beers (what a selection), and watch sports - - fun atmosphere and the staff is great and always pleasant!!!

I first started going to this place in 1985 and I've always thought the entire menu looks great. But the fact is, I've never had anything but the wings. Holy cow these wings are awesome. The perfect size, crispy and coated in the best wing sauce ever. I used to live near the Sandy Springs location and had to have wings at least once a week, often twice. Now I live two hours away and miss them really bad.
I have been going to $3 for years for thier wings; almost 10 years. I love $3 wings They are Hot. (but not too hot for me) They are a nice size wing, not the little cheep ones. A good value in my book. I am from Upstate NY and these remind me of the wings I would have in College. I can't say much about the other food since I ONLY get their wings. I love the large glasses they provide to cool down the mouth and they also make the best Blue Cheese Dressing I have ever had.

Three dollar cafe wings are head and shoulders above any wings in the city. They are one of the few places that actually understand what an extra crispy wing is. It means its crispy but still swimming in the best how wing sauce around. Their blue cheese is unmatched as well. I have been looking for a better wing joint for going on 10 years now and have finally decided that it just cant be done. The TDC grilled chicken sandwich with wing sauce is great as well.
