This place is too good to be so small. There's always a line but the shrimp corn chowder is so goodt! Like I'll leave my job & sit and eat chowder all day goodt!

Good Stuff

So I pass by this place almost every day and there's always a giant crowd waiting in line just to get in. Finally my curiosity got the best of me and I dropped in and gave it a try. I don't know if I had just hyped this place up in my head too much, and the food was very good, but I just don't know if I'd wait in line again. I went simple and just had a couple beef tacos so I'll probably return next time I see a shorter line and try some of the other items on the menu. Prices were cheap too so that's always a plus.

Great food, cheap, and fast!

My boyfriend and I frequent Taqueria del Sol at least once a week because (after you get through the line) the food comes SUPER quick - (in fact, I still don't know how the servers find us since there are no table numbers or anything and it's free seating)
The corn chowder is a MUST TRY, the memphis taco is interesting and delicious, and the fish is good too!

I've NEVER had a bad experience with rude service or staff.. I don't go to have my feet rubbed and kissed. I go for a fast, cheap, and yummy meal.

Rudest, Most Unfriendly Staff in Atlanta

I have gone to this place for the last time! I am sick of being greeted by people who could care less about its customers. Me and my friends joke that it's the ""Soup Nazi"" style of management. Only the people who bring you your food are ever somewhat pleasant. Everyone else, looks like they are so unhappy to be there, and they treat the customers accordingly. The food isn't that great either. I'd rather eat where I feel welcome and appreciated, and I don't have to stand in line like a bunch of sheep to get ordinary food.

Just GO!

Yes, the staff can be rude...but if you just sit back and watch, it's actually funny. It's all an act with their silly rules. Lines can be long but generally move fast. Margaritas are great, tacos are great, salsa trio is great. But my favorites are the cheese dip and the dessert that is not on the menu. Just ask for it and you will be pleasantly surprised. Very affordable and enjoyable.

We Love it

Can't believe all the neg reviews.. This place draws such a huge crowd that people wait in line.. Think about it..if the food wasn't great, there wouldn't be a line out the door for lunch. Its worth the wait.

Taqueria del no no...

I have been a fan of Taqueria del Sol since the first one opened on the Westside. I have raved about their tacos. I have spread the good word about their chips. I have even mastered skipping the line and snagging a spot at the bar to grab a quick bite and a glass of wine! BUT, sadly, all good things must come to an end. Apparently, now that I am the proud parent of a two year old, my money is no longer a fair enough trade for the services that they offer - or in this case - DON'T offer. Our meal this evening was completely ruined by their lack of proper seating for toddlers, and my refusal to become that parent trying to reason with a two year old to stay seated in a regular chair. At first I was furiously thinking to myself that I will never eat there again. Then, I came to a better conclusion. It will bring me no greater pleasure than to return to your highchair-less establishment with my son and an army of moms with their toddlers to enjoy a taco and a glass of wine, whilst we allow (without an ounce of remorse) our children to run rampant throughout the dining room. Buckle your imaginary highchair seatbelts TDS - and keep in mind that there are countless other restaraunts in Atlanta begging for my money that aren't afraid of a toddler or two in their restaurant between the hours of 5 and bedtime - which hello!? - is for most children around 7:30pm - oh... the horror... C'mon Taqueria Del Sol - maybe someone over there at Taco Headquarters needs to take a nap.
