Don't drink wine? Buy a bottle anyways.

Cross-post from Yelp:
---------------------------------------
Situated directly below a condo I purchased in July '11 within Atlanta's Westside Provision District (est. 2008/2009), it wasn't a surprise why I've had such a wonderful experience being a patron here. Especially, after going to Google to find more about the shop before publishing this review:

Perrine's Wine Shop was just featured in the May-2011 issue of 'Garden & Gun' and previously honored by 'Atlanta Magazine' in 2010.

However, what is surprising after learning about the shop and owner's previous accolades is that quite often Perrine's prices are lower than the local competing generic wine & spirits franchises. Perrine can often be found behind the register, or at her laptop drafting the latest monthly wine club newsletter or wine tasting event. She's not alone, however, and the staff she's assembled are just as humble and knowledgeable as she is. Obviously, so humble that I had to use the internet to find anything out about her (historically speaking) previous to opening the wine shop's doors. Here are three things I learned vis-a-vis the internet:

1. She was the youngest to earn a challenge medal for the best young sommelier in Bordeaux in 2004.

2. She arrived in America in 2006 where she could only spoke French, which didn't stop her from earning her sommelier certification from the Master of Sommelier Institute.

3. She then worked as the sommelier at JO
