If you come to Ecco and don't get the fried goat cheese, you're doing it wrong. They are absolutely amazing.
That being said, the rest of the menu is great as well! They do charcuterie as well as anyone around and always have a great rotating selection of new dishes. Their fish and meat is top-notch - we had the trout last week and it was cooked perfectly. Probably won't order a pizza again - the crust was too crispy for my liking!
I came here during the week day for business purpose. The vibe I got was very professional (granted I did come on a week day). The service was great. I recall having the octopus and finding it to be a little too chewy. I'll have to check the place out on the weekend. Parking is valet.
Fantastic food and service. The pappardelle is amazing and the staff is attentive and knowledgable. Makes for a great date night or group dinner party. Not really a kid place, but the staff has been great whenever mine join us.

Nestled in midtown Atlanta on 7th street, just east of Georgia Tech, this European-inspired restaurant is a terrific spot for an elegant evening. I had the pleasure of coming here with my girlfriend for our three year anniversary, and the experience was excellent. The service was impeccable; our waiter was terrifically attentive without being intruding, extremely professional, and recommended great wine pairings with our meal. The atmosphere was very elegant, perfect for a classy evening meal, whether as a date or simply an up-scale evening with coworkers or clients.
To me, service and atmosphere are actually more important than the food, as I go to a restaurant for an experience, and not just the food. Needless to say, however, Ecco topped off the evening with a wonderful menu. I love the European style offering of great cheese and meat pairings they offer. We got the recommended goat cheese appetizer, which was excellent, along with the three for 14 cheese/meat pairing. For entrees, my girlfriend got the Pappardelle and I got the Sausage entree, both very delicious.
All in all, an excellent, elegant evening. You can tell they know what they are doing.

I have been to Ecco twice this past year and have yet to be disapointed. My boyfriend and I have always received stellar service and amazing food. This restaurant is definitely one of my favorite here in Atlanta. I recommend this restaurant to anyone who is intrigued by foods out of the ordinary, that are fresh, and never the same. Might I suggest, if it is your first time, as I do in any restaurant, always get the small bites to share and slowly throughout the night, if you like it, order more and move on to a bigger course! I truly feel that a restaurant's smaller bites are what distinguishes it from a good to an extraordinary restaurant. If a chef and his staff are taking the time and care into a smaller dish, you know the the entrees will be amazing!

From all the great reviews, I thought this would be super-awesome and it was a little ho-hum. There were some okay flavors, like in the lentil-chorizo ragout, but nothing really burst with flavor or made me say 'I would definitely come back just for this dish.' The service was very good once they sat us in the booth the waiter said he could not seat us in (likely so he could keep more people in his area).
What got us off to a poor start was when they brought us cold (like fridge cold) bread. That is a big pet peeve of mine, and not something I would expect of such a highly rated restaurant.
The picked vegetables were pretty good, but they were clearly pickled in pure vinegar. They were hard to eat, but addictive at the same time.
The sausage pizza was just okay. Nothing special here.
The dessert was weird. My wife is pregnant and I told the waitress so. They gave us chocolate balls with cognac in it. Okay, so the cognac is cooked off, but dark chocolate has a bunch of caffeine in it, which is not great for pregnant ladies. It also had an unsweetened cocoa powder on it that made it very hard to eat. We couldn't finish them.
