I took my wife and friends for her birthday to Dolce Enoteca on 08//2011. The reviews I've read that weren't too favorable were right on the money. They sat us in the very back of the restaurant, we had a large party, in the dark. They had a very limited drink and dinner menu, and were out of the N.Y. Strip and crabcakes.
I had won a $50 gift card to the restaurant and between my wife and I, we still had a $50 bill come to us with the appetizers and entrees being half off. The food was just
""decent"". Olive Garden's quality of food was on par or better than this. If you want ambience and location, then this would be the ""trendy"" place to go. But for a 45+/- minute drive to downtown Atlanta on a special occasion, it is not worth the time, drive, or prices, if you are looking for a ""positive and great food experience.""
FIrst, I would like to say, the hostess is the sweetest most helpful person I have ever met! I am new to Atlanta and I just moved to Atlantic Station and she was like my personal tour guide! The restaurant is so gorgeous and romantic!!! The soft glow, the beautiful leather tables it's all so luxurious, and that's before you even sit down! Our server was very professional yet friendly. she guided us through the menu as if she personally prepares the food. I decided on the Seared Jumbo Scallops, OMG they were mouth-watering delicious and they served it with a butternut squash puree, something I've never had before and it was great! Management stopped by our table and she was very nice too! I beginning to believe in this southern hospitality thing! I love this place and I am definatley going to make it a staple weekly dinner routine.
So my boyfriend & I just dined at Dolce for the first time the other night. As soon as we opened the doors I was greeted by the sweetest hostess, which was really cool because you don't see that often really anymore. She was very polite and happily led us to our booth. It was very quaint in the center of the restaurant. The decor and ambiance in this restaurant is to die for.The menu had a lot of different options at a very reasonable price. We enended havong the buratta as our appetizer and it was really good and was acrually pretty big. we even had some left over. The managers even came by the table to check on how we were doing, which I thought was really nice. Overall it was just a great experience will definety be coming back!!!!

Found this place on resturants dot com and bought a $50 coupon for $8, prices are what you would expect from a downtown restaurant.. I had the Filet Mignon, my wife had the NY Strip, I love a good steak, and this was a great one, it was complemented with lobster mash potatoes, I caught my wifes eye as she sat staring at me, she told me I had been moaning after every bite and that she was getting jealous. I have read review where people dis the place for being dark and expensive, I think the meal was well worth the $107 I invested which included 2 appetizers, fine steak dinners, drinks and excellent deserts, my wife was moaning over the Cr?me br?l?e, what stick out to us the most was how large the portions were, probably close to twice the size we expected, my wifes NY Strip was at least 16-18 oz and my Filet was the largest I have ever gotten downtown Atlanta. I am a big guy who likes to eat, andI left stuffed... with 3 togo containers left over... good job guys

My husband and I ate here last night and we will now compare it to Applebee's or Olive Garden with jacked up prices! The appetizer was okay, but our meals were covered in grease, cream and tons of cheese as if to cover up the nastiness beneath, and the chicken was really dry. We ordered dessert in hopes that it would make up for our gross meals. We ordered the chocolate molten cake (usually warm and gooey in the center) and coffee. The cake was cold and uncooked in the center and our coffee was only lukewarm! Then we got our check and couldn't believe our total was $65!!!! We both said we would have been better satisfied at McDonald's drive thru.
My first visit to the restaurant was as part of a group of twenty-six teenagers going out for the prom dinner, not exactly the dream clientele. The second we were seated some kids complained about the location of our seating, and the waiter, whom I would have understood perfectly had he displayed any displeasure, smiled, spoke to a manager, rearranged, and with jokes and wonderful suggestions, reseated us. I read the reviews before attending, and my experience that night, and a couple of other nights, never, even slightly, dropped below four stars.
The hostesses do wear skimpy clothing, just as at the Geisha House, that is a fact.

I took my friends there for the first time and which now will be my last time.
I have eaten there a few times before and it was decent. I did however come on Monday nights when they have 50% off of food. That is the only time that overpriced place is worth it.
This time, however, was exceptionally unpleasant!!!!
I have received an email telling me that the restaurant will be closing and all the food will be 50% until the day that they close. Due to that email I urged a couple of my friends to go with me there and have a decent meal. We got there and as one of the pervious reviewers has pointed out, the greeting staff was dressed not appropriately for an establishment of these sorts. We were seated right away and our server was nice enough. He did recommend a NY strip to my boyfriend and said that it was similar to the fillet minion just a larger portion. Well it was not at all!!! The server was courteous enough to change the order back to the original fillet minion, but by now we all had our food and were eating while my boyfriend had to wait.
After all that hoopla with the changing of the meals and some more waiting we finally received our bill.
Again I understood that the place is closing, due to the email I have received, and all of our food should be 50% off. The bill was full price and the server was not very polite when I asked him about what I was expecting.
I very politely asked to speak to the manager. It took her over 10 min to get to our table!!!! After I tried to explain our situation to her, I was rudely interrupted a few times as she tried to apologies, the answer I received was that the email can not be honored and the best she can do for me now is 20%. I tried to reason with her but she said that she could give me only one option and if I did not like it I can call corporate. We asked for that number and called it. First we were told that this was not the correct number then we were also that no one can help us until Monday even if we were talking to the correct office in the first place.
We asked for the correct number but were never given such a thing.
Needless to say I was extremely disappointed in my experience and I highly doubt it that I will choose to eat there again even for free!!!!
I have worked in customer service for over 10 years and there was no decent service offered to us by the management at this restaurant!!!
