        This is the coolest place I ha...

        This is the coolest place I have been to in Atlanta. We went for lunch (which was very tasty plus good quality plus cost less than eating fast food!) and discovered the art gallery and the wonderful facility for my upcoming wedding. They can accommodate small and large parties and the acoustics in the Forum room are fantastic. The flyer says the chef is five star. I can believe it!

        General Info
        The Defoor Centre has been home to many fabulous emerging Atlanta artists' shows and memorable events since 2002. Our facility has a unique history: the lobby was built as a farmhouse in the 1800's. The local legend is that General Sherman used the house as a hospital during the Battle of Peachtree Creek. The Harvest Gospel Church added on to the old farmhouse in the 1970's and the 5,500 square foot hexagonal space is now The Forum Gallery.Artist lofts were added in the 1990's. This space is now home to The Defoor Cafe and Bar, The Encore! Gallery, Rhombus and Gatsby rooms. Our event facility has been home to many weddings, reception, Mitzvahs, meetings, and MTV My Super Sweet 16 episode and other events. Each event is special and custom-designed to our client's wishes. Our goal is to handle every detail of your event for you so that you can relax and enjoy your family and friends or business associates. Many of our standard offerings are considered up-charges by other venues. Mahogany Chiavari chairs, centerpieces, 25+ linen color options and other accouterments are always included at no additional charge. The Defoor Cafe and Bar is open Tuesday - Friday from 11am until 3pm. Our menu features made from scratch sandwiches, salads, soups and daily / weekly specials. Chef Marcus Smith oversees the preparation of each entree with as much enthusiasm and meticulous care as he provides to our banquet and catering menus. Our galleries promote local, emerging artists and are available for viewing Monday - Friday from 10am - 5pm. The art is refreshed every 6-8 weeks, so come back often for new works.
