Discriminotory practices .........

Chinese Buddha is not ensuring that their customers are not shelling out an additional $75 after spending money at their establishment and are being discriminatory with it. With only twenty five parking spots marked for the restaurant and a crowd of a least 100 rotating and waiting to eat, Chinese Buddha either does not care about their customers or they

Customer Service not their problem...

I generally like Chinese Buddha...but the lunch service is poor. Last time I brought a co-worker to the restaurant they messed up my order eventually he fixed it - it wasn't a good showing for that person and she wont be going again. Today I brought another co-worker and again he brought me the wrong thing (I always order the same thing by the way). He messed up the order and instead of apologizing he made it seem like I was doing something to him. Obviously, this is lunch time so waiting for over 40 minutes for food is unacceptable...he then came out and said (after my co-worker was 90% done with slowly eating her meal) that the health dept was there and they couldnt fix my meal. That would have been good information about 30 minutes earlier where I could have changed my order so I could have eaten I told him I needed a quick solution since lunch was almost over he looked at me like he couldn't care less and said I quote ""ITS NOT MY PROBLEM"".

Not one time during this experience did anyone take responsibility or apolozed for the error (I can tell you exactly how he messed up my order!). I asked for the manager twice...instead of the manager coming out and asking what she could do she (or the person I'm assuming was the manager) came out at the end of the whole thing hurling a plate of food at me instead of asking me what she could do...she might have realized that I had to go back to work and did not have the time to eat a full meal. Even the people at the other table made comments at the poor customer service that I experienced - so not only was this a poor showing for me but also the person who came with me...the people at my job who heard about the experience...and the people at the other tables who saw and heard the waiter tell me that it wasnt his problem.

There's not many places like this in the city I can go but I refuse to give establishments my money who treat customers so disrespectfully. That was insane...""not my problem"" pffft!

The greatest Chinese restaurant ever. In the entire world.

The food is amazing, like super amazing. I would eat here all the time if possible. The prices are great too, plus you get so much food that you will be eating for days.

The food is super quick too - like magical quick! We seriously ordered delivery on our way home one night expecting the food to arrive shortly after we got home, but they actually got there before we did! Certainly the quickest delivery from any establishment I have ever dealt with.

The absolute best thing about Chinese Buddha? The service. Everyone there is extremely nice and always has a smile. I feel at home when I go there.

Great vegetarian (and regular) food until 6am most nights

I LOVE this place. I've been there at all hours of the day and night and it's always fantastic! They have a separate vegetarian menu, including FABULOUS meat-free versions of a lot of the dishes I've missed since giving up meat. All my carnivorous friends love it, too - the regular menu is very extensive. The service is great and the decor is simple but classy. I cannot recommend it enough!!

uninspired food that is slightly better than an average takeout place...beware of objects in food...

I live very close to this restaurant and have enjoyed a few decent meals for lunch and dinner. The food is average- better than the super cheap random places, but not deserving of anything better than average. My hot and sour soup this evening was rather supbar- and oh yes, MY FRIED RICE HAD A SCREW IN IT!!! It was in the bottom of my fried rice that accompanied my uninspired spicy garlic chicken. I took a bite and there was a screw in the rice. SERIOUSLY?! I would have rather had a roach..but a screw!? Youve got to be keeping me! Overall, this is the only bad experience I have had there. But needless to say, I will never go back.

Aboslutely great late night food

Me and a buddy eat here nearly every Saturday night / Sunday morning after catching a late movie at Atlantic Station. Usually around 2am - 3am the place is pretty full but we've never had to wait. Great service, awesome prices, and really, REALLY good food. You can't beat this place for a late night meal downtown. In my few dozen weekend visits, I have never been let down.

Highlights: Hot & Sour soup, Crab rangoons, Sesame chicken, and the vegetarian general tso's.

Pricy Chinese Food with Bad Service

I have been in downtown Atlanta for quite a long time and I have had various experiences with Chinese restaurants. The other places that I have tried are chico and chang, lucky Buddha, Chinese Buddha, Hong Li Chinese, Mandarin House, etc. And I have to honestly say that Chinese Buddha is one of the worst.

The food is pricier than the other restaurants with minimum $10 dinner combinations. The amount of food is less than other restaurants as well. The standard sesame chicken uses white meat but the breading is the same as ?sweet and sour chicken?. The sauce is too sweet and thick, and the thin breading soaks up so much of the sauce. It?s hard to eat more than three pieces. The breading gets so soggy after some time that when you order sesame chicken through delivery, they will not even saute the chicken with the sauce. The sauce will come in a different container for you to dip the chicken in (just like sweet and sour).

As a delivery restaurant, Chinese Buddha is the worst out of all the ones I?ve tried. I have ordered delivery from them over 20 times and I have waited an average of 1.5-2 hours in the past to receive my food. However since the start of lucky Buddha (another late night restaurant) I have completely boycotted Chinese Buddha. Lucky Buddha has never failed to deliver on time, and my average wait time was 20-30 minutes. The sesame chicken at lucky Buddha is also much better with better breading and amazing sauce with a hint of garlic taste. Since they deliver so fast, I have never gotten my food cold. They also prepare the food within 5 minutes in store so you can get your filling fast.

Overall, Chinese Buddha still has great egg drop soup, Mongolian beef, and a great new place with amazing interior design. HOWEVER, the food is overpriced and deserves no praise. The delivery service is worse than all of the other restaurants. If you are looking for a restaurant that lives up to their pricings, just head over to lucky Buddha.

The Best Chinese in the City

I've been eating at Chinese Buddha for over 5 years and I haven't found a better place to get Chinese in the city. I definitely recommend the sesame chicken and egg drop soup.

Great Late Night Dining!

I went here after catching a very late movie at Atlantic Station. We cruised the city looking for something good to eat that wasnt covered in grease but many of the kitchens had closed by then (it was after midnight). I recalled this place had a new location and after trying to maneuver the tiny parking lot, we went inside and were pleasantly surprised. Its red and black decor are classy enough for a nice date, or large group. The service was attentive, and the food was prepared fresh and fast. We both had soup, two appetizers, two teas, and a large portion of General Tso's (the best Ive ever had) and the bill was only $25. We were in and out in an hour and for eating so late, I didnt feel full and overstuffed.

If you haven't been to their new location, you're in for a surprise. I couldn't believe it was the same restaurant! It's gorgeous and someplace you could actually take a date to now.

It's the best Chinese I've had in my entire life and the most affordable in the city (get a dinner combo if you're not sharing).
