I have this insurance company. I will be filing a report with the Attorney General in my state tomorrow. I had to file a claim. They took three months to send me a check. They would never return phone calls. I had to threaten them before they acted on anything. The accident was not my fault. ALso I pay my bill on line every month. Now they are telling me I didnt pay and are threatening to cancel. So I paid again. I will be dropping them and filing complaints with the appropriate people. These guys are shady.

This assurance America is garbage , i was supposed to make a payment on 27th December their agency closed due to the Holiday , i tried to make the payment on 29th they told me my insurance being cancel due to none payment on 27th , Really this is the wost insurance company I've ever seen plus my payment keep going up almost every 2 month they told me is the state that add on the money

really!?? wow!!

wow this nis my first payment to this insurance company. to be honest its late and it expires tonite. my husband worked all day, he didnt get home till 9 pm. i had forgotten to make sure he left the payment. i called their customer service to pay it over the phone and what do you know......they're closed!!! so i go online, this day and age EVERY company lets you pay online. well what do you know you CANT DO THAT EITHER!!!! so know its about to get cancelled and i have to wait til monday, and another down payment, to get insurance again! they suck!!!!

Just awful

I had this insurance company for about six month and every month my bill went higher and higher. So I called the company and they gave me excuse after excuse. My bill started at 225 and went to 298 wtf.. I called an cancel my policy because I had switch to wells fargo insurance company(cheaper). Not to mention being on hold for twenty minutes and then speaking with one of the rudest rep. Please to anyone who is looking for insurance when you see assurance america RUN! And for the people that is having issue with the adjustor, when you call the claims department they are only open between certain hours. WTF. This company is only about money.

Nightmare insurance company

How this insurance company is still in business beats me...I'm reading all these reviews and it sounds like everyone is having similar problems with the insurance company. I was just rear-ended by someone with Assurance America Insurance and as soon as I saw the name and I had never heard of it I knew I was probably in for a rough ride...It has been 3 days that I have been calling and calling and calling the adjustor they set me up with. I finally talked to him today and he said they have to do an investigation and have not even talked to the man that hit me, yet. I don't know what there is to investigate, since he has the tickets from the police and hit me from behind, but whatever...the point is that they have a bunch of people working for them that should probably be riding the short bus to work and are horrible as far as customer service goes. I had to go through my own insurance (GEICO) to get the ball rolling and to get a rental car because Assurance told me ""Oh well we're probably gonna be a week or so before we can do anything to help you"". They are a bunch of idiots if you ask me.

Assurance = caveman killing a gecko and goose, bloody mess!!

In an accident where the police found the other driver at faultand the y said it was 90% (?) my fault and wouldnt pay $118 repair!!! I have never seen an insurance company act in such a condescending, uncaring manner. Stick with a name brand, avoid this company!

After my new truck was hit by an ASSurance America customer, they tried to force the body shop to install only used replacement parts, telling them they don't pay for new parts. Then they refused to pay a fair amount for depreciation on the truck which amounted to $2500. You're lucky if you can get a return call and if you do they are rude. The accident happened in May 2010 and it's December now and still no resolution to the depreciation issue, even after I presented all the documentation they asked for concerning proof of the depreciation amount. They had me jump through hoops knowing it wasn't going to change anything. They will pay only $950 on the $2500 loss on my truck. Ripoff company. I wish this review had a rating option of ""Deplorable""!

Sadest Company that i have ever dealt with

My car was hit by one of their insured on Oct 17 it is now Nov. 22 and I haven't gotten a settlement yet on my claim. They won't return phone calls. O my bad They did 1 time when I called and left a voice mail saying how there company is no good. She called me back within 30 mins. to let me know that she heard me talking about her. But I wasn't lying at all. this company needs to be put out of business. I don't know who gives them the right to dictate who much time off my job and school I can miss just because they don't want to pay me for the an accident they insured caused. BOTTOM LINE DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME GETTING THIS INSURANCE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AND I HOPE YOU ARE NEVER STRUCK BY 1 OF THEIR INSURED DRIVERS
THE SUCK THIS COMPANY CAN GO DIRECTLY TO HELL.

My car has been fixed since last Wednesday (Nov 11,2009) but I cant get my car out until they review the supplement report that was sent to them on Thursday. The extra charges are about 1250.00. My car has been in the shop for almost 3 weeks now because this insurance company lack the ability to communicate. They do not return phone calls when they say they are. Also I had to foot my rental car upfront but thank the lord I did received the refund back. I hope I don't get hit by one of their drivers again. Wouldn't know how long before I would get my car back.

Good luck with these people!!!

I was struck from behind by someone with this insurance. They won't cover the rental car up front, won't return my calls after 8 days, and want to total my car when the damage is only 35% of the value! I'm very frustrated and, after 3 WEEKS I am filing a claim with my own insurance company. I am also reporting these people to the insurance commissioner and a bureau this website will not let me list in this note. Wish me luck with the rest of this nightmare!

Run away as fast as you can!!!

Do not use this company! My car was broken into at 4pm, the adjuster leaves the office at 5 pm, it has been a week and I have had to call this company everyday to find out nothing has been done. This is just the beginning of t he trouble. The only thing this company does right is billing the client!

I have written a detailed letter to the insurance comissioner of my state asking why this company is allow to do business here! I have strongly reccomended an audit of their business practices.

This insurance company has the worst customer service!

They promise that they are going to call you and they never do! This has been going on for over a month and we still do not have a check. The accident was not even our fault! They do not provide a rental car unless you pay up front! I don not recommend the company to anyone!

Assurances America have the worst costumer services in this world I wait almost a month for them to send me a check for a car accident the was not even my fault there not even wanted to pay for my rent a car, they pay for only 10 day and my car was in the paint and body shop for almost a month.I call this people every day a they never have a straight answer I DON'T RECOMMEND this company not even to my worst enemy.

It is not worth it!

I would just like to say this. I don't even have insurance with this company and they are taking too long to deal with my situation. The problem is they say that they are transferring you and then you wait so long to only recieve a voice mail. Think twice before getting this insurance wherever you are

Poor communication - poor customer service

This company is horrible at returning phone calls for claims. Their fax machine has not been working for at least five days. The claims agent's voice mail does not accept voice mails, and she has been told this at least five times, as well as her supervisor. I wrote an e-mail two different times, and neither have been acknowleged . In addition, the assigned claims adjustor did not even contact the drivers involved in the accident for a statement for 30 days. This has been a poor company to deal with in communication, and I would never recommend their services. Comically, they received a Top-10 business award for Atlanta, but it had nothing to do with customer service.
