The Greater Good is our go-to place for BBQ near our home in Sandy Springs (right off exit 4A on 400). We went last night and had a great experience as always. It's a little place with a lot of charm right next door to Fellini's Pizza. It has a quaint outdoor eating area with hanging lights that twinkle at night. The inside is a little cramped but has a good old fashioned feel. We always get the three meat plate. I personally like the pork best but my boyfriend LOVES the chicken and brisket. The meat is delicious but is terribly dry without sauce.... but their sauce is amazing! I recommend the sweet. Yum. I am not a huge fan of the sides here- I just come for the BBQ. The fries taste homemade but just aren't my style and definitely are not good to-go. Boyfriend always orders the mac and cheese but always regrets it. Would definitely use them to cater for a football party or family gathering. I know it would be a crowd pleaser.

My husband and I are new to Atlanta and we were looking for a good chinese restaraunt and found Lucky China. The atmosphere was terrific! It was clean, the decor was pretty and the lighting was perfect. The service was also stellar. Our waitress was at the table as often as you needed but didn't hover. Now for the food. The presentation was gorgeous, and the portions were generous and delicious! The value...also spectacular. The two of us ate for $36.00 not including tip. We had two appetizers, two meals and because Sundays and Wednesdays are $1 beer (domestic) and $1 Nigiri (Sushi) we also had 5 beers and one piece of Nigiri. It was a lovely meal and we feel no need to look for another chinese restaraunt. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great meal.
When you think of BBQ I'm sure the first thing that comes to mind is ribs, chicken and pull pork. Well that was the same for me until I had Sweet Auburn's Shrimp & Grits. This was so good. Since this is a BBQ joint the shrimp are seasoned with a BBQ rub. The thing I found exciting was that they added a charred corn pico . This was different because I've never thought about adding corn. This is differently an ingredient I'll be adding to my own creation. Being full is not something you will have to worry about here. You will have enough for now and some for later. This is a great place to meet up with friends and family and just enjoy each other. They have a veggie plate for those of you who don't eat meat.
The oldest place in town. Why ? It's not the food, or the decor. It's a legend . It's the friendly people who eat here. They have breakfast "click s " and lunch clicks and whatever clicks. It's the place in town to be seen. All the movers and shakers are here. I bet more business deals are made here than in lawyer offices. My first time there many years ago, three people tried to sell me a car. Sure I eat the tough BBQ, I love it. I love the greasy breakfasts too. All the employees here are like family. I know them all by name. They have all been here for over 10 years each. Strangers are welcome, even Yankee's, just don't forget to say Howdy. ChefLars.
The space is small, but really cute. I quickly scanned the menu and ordered the Cup Sticky Rice along with the Dirty Bird and Shrimp Baos. The Dirty Bird Bao was served first. Party in my mouth! The bun melted in my mouth. The chicken was seasoned well. The pickled daikon and carrots went perfectly with the chicken. The Shrimp Bao made for a party after the Dirty Bird Bao party. And then the Cup Sticky Rice was the after after party...very flavorful. I brought a few of the baos home for The Hubs to try, but he wasn't a fan. Fortunately, that means this will be one of the few leftovers I can bring home without having to worry about him eating them behind my back.
This is one of the best places to get BBQ around the Midtown/Buckhead areas. The portions are HUGE, the food is excellent, and there's a ton of variety - not just your typical ribs and pork like many other Southern BBQ spots. I left feeling ridiculously stuffed, but it was so worth it - we had the pimiento cheese appetizer, BBQ pork nachos, and a sweet potato souffle that will knock your socks off. The prices for drinks and food are really affordable - not sure why this place isn't more popular! Also a big patio with plenty of seating great for big groups.
We recently were due for a relaxing night in and decided to order take out from Mont Restaurant. The menu was a little overwhelming at first, but that is because they have any possible Asian food you can think of. I finally settled on Teriyaki Chicken with fried rice & my husband ordered Bee Lo Mein. We both enjoyed our meal immensely. The delivery was quick & our order correct. The amount of food for the cost also exceeded our expectations, as we were both able to make two meals out of our order (me three!).
The produce section of this market offers great variety of fresh produce. Weekends, the store is usually filled with hispanics. Can't blame them, nowhere else in the area can you find fresh produce at this price. The store does smell a little bit. But then you save nearly 60% compared to shopping for the same produce at Publix or Kroger and nearly 90% compared to shopping at Whole Foods Market. Seafood at this market is the best. They have more variety of shrimp than any other market in Atlanta.
When i walked in i was greeting with "HELLO'S", and "SMILE'S"! I happen to make my visit when they recieved an order of fresh turkish fish. There were many choices to choose from. I myself being european, was very greatful to see such a variety of Turkish & Bosnian Items available. I def. recommend this Turkish grocery store to everybody.... By the way, the "HAMSI IS GREAT"!!!
