I've been eating sushi for 20+ years and this is hands down the best sushi ever! EVER! It's almost magical. We had Red Samurai roll, Dynasty roll, and several pieces of nigiri. The Hamachi Kama was awesome. You must try them yourself. Presented like you are the most important patron in the establishment.

Went to Ru San's on Jan 15,2015 for lunch buffet special around 1:15 pm. Thought that it would be a great idea to have the all you can eat buffet for $9.75 but to my surprise there was hair on my sushi and a dead roach in my noodles from the open buffet bar. When it was brought to Tan Nguyan's (the manager on duty) attention, he said out loud, "AGAIN!"as if he was already aware of the situation. He went over to the buffet area stirred up the noodles to check for more roaches without removing the item and left it sitting out in the chafing dish all while others continued to eat during the lunch hour. When I called back to notify the owner of the establishment Kayla Nguyan (the assistant manager) was well aware of the roaches being at the establishment and tried to justify the situation saying," We are a mom and pop restaurant and we cannot afford renovations because we don't have the money. I hope you can understand we pay pest control to come out, but the building is old,we've been here for a long time...,"and was not apologetic until after I mentioned that she wasn't towards me. WHY IS THIS PLACE STILL OPEN? I've taken the initiative to contact Environmental Health because clearly they believe that this behavior is acceptable. Please be aware! See article below! http://www.whatnowatlanta.com/2014/01/08/ru-sans-reopens-under-new-management-after-closing-over-cockroaches/Update received a phone call from Thai Nguyan, (Ru San's Restaurant Owner of Kennesaw and Midtown locations) on Friday Jan, 16, 2015. I informed him about the cockroach that was found in my noodles from the lunch buffet and how Kayla (the assistant manager) tried to justify the situation without being apologetic. I explained that I was sick after eating at his Ru San's Kennesaw location. Knowing that i was very unhappy about what took place Mr. Ngygan had the audacity to ask if I would give them another chance and come back to have dinner... NO THANK YOU! The owner is aware of the situation and explained to me that the bugs are in the walls in the restaurant and due to pest control coming out to spray the bugs are coming out of them. He was very apologetic, however still remains open knowing that this is a problem. Based off reviews this Ru San's Kennesaw location now has a total of three separate reports including mine about roaches found at their facility with in a six month period; you can find them on Yelp! If he was concerned about his customers health he would close the doors of this Ru Sans Location and handle this problem in an appropriate manner. Consumers please be aware! Nice friendly staff.I came for the convention and invited customers over. I let the chef choose the dishes for 6 people. All dish came in very good. Since then , I go there at least once every time I do the convention. Owner Mr. Cheung even joined our party for a brief moment. I feel very welcome.
My husband and I went here today and we had a fabulous experience! Our service was great and most of our food was awesome. We love sushi, we've had sushi from Minneapolis, DC & Charleston. We have been to ATL 5 times and this was our best experience so far. We went there specifically for their sushi. We sat at the sushi bar, ordered 5 rolls and soup & salad came out within minutes. They have a ginger, lemon peanut vinaigrette as their dressing which was delicious! The miso soup was ok.We ordered the Hawaiian, Home Depot, Godzilla, Geisha & the Baked Salmon rolls.Hawaii: Phenomenal! The chef makes it with coconut shrimp. I loved it because it does not have any sauce on top of it.Home Depot: Also phenomenal! This is made with fried sea scallops with a cream sauce on top that was great!Godzilla: This was ok. This roll was made really large (2x the size of a normal roll). It was deep fried and drench in a a nonviscous brown sauce that wasn't sweet. The roll fell apart because it was not rolled tight. I would not recommend this roll.Geisha: This was the normal plenty of fish with sauce roll, similar to a rainbow roll. Baked Salmon Roll: This was interesting. We did not care for it. The roll consisted of salmon & parmesan cheese on top, then baked. The cheese added a different flavor that we did not like with our sushi. The waitresses were really nice and on top of their game. I had plenty of water! The sushi chef gave us some japanese rice and seaweed to go because we were "out of towers", it was on the house. It was mighty nice of him! We would definitely go back to try their other rolls!
The Hubs and I were feening for some sushi. He mentioned Harry & Sons to me a few weeks ago, after a coworker recommended it. Although it was Saturday night and a bit crowded, we were seated immediately upon arrival. Our waitress was friendly and quickly took our order. We both decided to go for the combo offerings: The Hubs had combo #! (Super Crunch and Tokyo rolls) with brown rice and I had combo #4 (Rainbow and California rolls). I always use the Rainbow roll as my gauge on whether or not I like a sushi restaurant. Harry & Sons' rolls were solid. I tried a bit of Mr. V's rolls, and the brown rice wasn't gross and hard like the brown rice we've had at other sushi spots. But this wasn't a place I'd be dying to get back to. It was good, but not mind-blowing.
Great place for a casual sushi dinner! Really fresh seafood and creative sushi rolls. Love sitting at the sushi bar at this place.
Home of the sushi burrito in Atlanta! And rice bowls and poke bowls--really like this place! Super casual and located at Emory Point, it offers a great take on sushi-on-the-go. The menu has signature dishes and specials, or you can also create your own burrito or bowl.
This is my fav sushi spot in Sandy Springs! The ocean roll is my absolute fav!!! What i love is that their sushi is so fresh! this is not one of those fake crab stick roll type of places. They also have a great drink menu.
Atlanta Fish Market has, by far, the best Seafood and sushi in the city. I've tried numerous items, including the Hong Kong salmon, friend lobster tail and Greek salad, but the sushi is the real winner. Tyson, the sushi chef sometimes has these specials that are unbelievable. The one I most recently had was the sushi grade salmon over fried ponzu rice, topped with tobiko and a chipotle cream sauce. It was PHENOMENAL. I came back a few days later to get the same thing. The main dining room can be a bit loud, so I opt for the tables near the front of the building next to the windows, or a seat back in the bar area where there's a sushi lounge and a relaxed feel. There's valet parking for $2 which is less expensive than I've seen in this area. The service is always excellent, and the bar tenders are friendly, ready to impress you with your cocktail.
This place is pretty good. The decor is nothing to really boast about, but the food and sushi is really delicious. We had a really new server, so the service wasn't as good as it could have been and it seemed that she was the only one that was working. If you're looking for a quick lunch, it's a good spot, but I wouldn't recommend it for a date night.
