If you are thinking of using them for distribution, look up what they did to Clown Shoes Beer and see if you still want to do business with them. Holding someone's brand hostage after dropping beer distribution and then refusing to transfer the rights to another distributor unless you get paid big bucks is sleezy, dishonest, and indefensible. The people of Georgia deserve better.-Update: based on the backlash they did finally resolve things with Clown Shoes and let another distributor have the rights in GA. Still not acceptable how they let it get to this point, but raised from 1 to 2 stars for resolving the issue.
One of the hottest spots in Old Fourth Ward/Inman Park on weekend evenings. A lot of groups come here before they go out on the weekends to start their night. Hop City has an extensive beer selection - they have a big list of both local beers (they mark them so you know), as well as beers from around the world. Quick, efficient staff that keeps long lines moving so you never have to wait too long, even when it's packed. If you grab a beer from Hop City, you're able to walk around Krog Street Market with it if you're waiting for a table at a restaurant.
A small mom and pop store that endeavors to be the best that they can be. You will not find a more friendly place to buy alcohol...period. This is a relatively small neighborhood liquor store. But it has great selection for its size. More important it has a very friendly and knowledgeable staff. This is a store that I want to visit because of the people that work here. And it helps that it is about a mile from my house.
This is one of my favorite additions to the Kirkwood neighborhood district. The owners are super friendly and knowledgeable. You can't beat the rotating selection of small batch wines. Weekly wine tastings to try before you buy make this a great place to try wines you won't see in big box and local liquor stores. I often find myself walking out with a box of wine and love that they can't be purchased anywhere nearby.
Hop City is the top spot in Atlanta for beer geeks. This location has a retail center with hundreds and hundreds of different craft beers - something for every taste. Adjoining the retail store is a bar with 60 beers on tap, including many hard to find selections. Hop City is the ultimate "candy store" for grown-ups.
Loved them on the Westside, and are even happier now that they're in the 'hood. I really like sitting at the bar (when there's space) and chatting up the very knowledgeable servers. They have the BEST selection of beers on tap in town. This is our Go-To place for new and interesting beers.
Hands down the best wine shop around! Boutique setting with a very knowledgable owner/shopkeeper. She is not only knowledgable about wine but she knows her customers well. I once stopped in for a hostess gift and she knew who I was buying for and what they like to drink.
Nice guys who know their wine. They can order special cases, help pick out the perfect bottle for any kind of event and they keep a record of what you order just in case you want it again. HW&C are very professional yet so friendly & local feeling, a real wine boutique.
Best beer shop in Atlanta for a selection of hand crafted beer to your popular brands. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable of the many beer and brewers. They can also teach you how to brew your own and set you up with the best supplies for brewing at home!
I go to Tower Wine & Spirits for their extensive wine selections. The staff is extremely expert and will help you choose a wine that meets your objectives and expectations. Very good craft beer offerings as well and the spirits are very well priced.
