If you lived in the town of North Salem, New Hampshire in the early 1900s, William E. Palmers country store was the place to go for everything you needed, from milk to mail. William started selling bottled gas out of the back of his pickup truck in 1949 to local residents and summer tourists. His customers were neighbors and friends, and everyone in town had a smile for the Palmer pickup truck.

On the hottest day of the year so far, Ryan, Dave, and Marley appeared at my door with smiling faces. They went right to work and in no time at all, we had a new hot water tank up and running. Very friendly and professional crew. I felt cared for and that I mattered to them. One more reason to recommend Palmer to everyone I know. 5 stars. Thank you very much!

Palmer Gas & Oil has come to our rescue on numerous times the past two weeks. Plumbing for failed propane water heater & replacement. Electrical for GFI failure and replacement. Condensation pump for HVAC failure and resolution. All these professionals have done outstanding work and are very customer focused. All have been Simply The Best!!

We just switched over to Palmer for oil and for propane. The onboarding process was simple and efficient. Everybody at Palmer, from the sales team, to the front desk, to the install team, to the service team has been simply excellent. Palmer, communicates quickly, clearly an accurately with their customers. Furthermore they met every appointment time frame, and their billing process via email is quick, easy to follow, and accurate. It should be noted that each and every employee we met is happy and proud to be working with Palmer. That should speak volumes to anyone looking for a provider.

Palmer Gas & Oil delivered home heating oil to my house without my knowledge or consent. Oil was marked up 50 cents over going rate. When I called I was told " You should be thankful, the price is already up 50 cents, and will go up another 50 cents next week ." I have never dealt with such manipulative, and deceptive business practices. Let alone the constant emails, and calls demanding payment for something I never ordered.

Palmer Gas was a real lifesaver for us this summer when our old hot water heater let go! They came and diagnosed the issue and then set us up with a new hot water heater in a timely and professional fashion. They even allowed us to borrow a temporary electric hot water heater while we were waiting for the installation of the new one. The guys that came to do the install (Brendon, Ed and Armani) were very nice and informative. It's been a joy doing business with Palmer Gas and all of it's employees!

We were impressed with Brett's analysis of our almost ancient thermal system. As retired teachers, we give him high marks for his helpful explanations and his careful, thoughtful, and meaningful answers to our questions. He is a real credit to Palmer Oil. We wanted to put a gold star on his forehead, but he's also humble, and while he also has a good sense of humor, he knows where to draw the line.

Palmer Gas has been providing our homes with propane gas and services for over 25 years. The office and customer service staff is courteous and helpful. The installers and repair personnel show up on time and leave the area they are working on cleaner than it was when they started the work. The technicians and repair staff explain what they are doing in a very understandable way. That is important for this of us that are not mechanically oriented. I would recommend the company and staff for your propane needs.

On Friday, June 3, 2022, Brendon and James from Palmer Oil & Gas arrived at our home exactly as scheduled -- 8:00 a.m. Their purpose was to install a new furnace for our heating/air conditioning needs. Their respect, diligence at work, and eagerness to fix a small vent problem made for a very pleasant installation atmosphere for us all. They are to be commended with a 5-Star rating! We were totally amazed at their courtesy, efficiency and outstanding geniality. A great crew they are.

Can’t say enough good things about Dave M at Palmer. Dave came out to inspect our oil tank and unfortunately it wasn’t up to code as the tank is in our garage and we didn’t have a barrier to prevent a car from crashing into it. I immediately panicked because it was the week of Christmas and we were running low on oil. I was so worried that we were going to run out of oil before we could pass the inspection, but Dave assured me he wouldn’t let that happen. He went to his truck, made some phone calls, and was able to rearrange his schedule to come back 2 days later and install the barrier himself (on Christmas Eve eve). We were able to get our tank refilled the same day. I was so relieved and grateful. Dave could not have been more kind and caring. He totally went above and beyond and we will not forget it! Thank you Dave!!

What a great company! We called for a service call at 1pm today and they were here by 3:15! They fixed the problem within an hour, Dave H. Josh, and Dom were excellent, very polite and courteous. I would call them for all of your gas needs!

Gary did an excellent job both on the comprehensive inspection and the full review of safety materials when finished. Nice to see a customer doesn't get a quick "drive-by" effort... Gary was professional and top notch. Great reflection on Palmer Gas!

I had the yearly maintenance performed on my generator and boiler this morning and could not be more pleased. Steve, the Palmer tech, went through the generator completely, changed the oil and performed all the other checkups that needed to be done. I am familiar with Steve as he did the installation two years ago, he is extremely knowledgeable and an all-around nice person, always smiling and happy; I can't say enough about what a great person he is.

Tim, the Palmer tech, went through the boiler completely, changed the filters and performed all the other checkups and tests that needed to be done. Tim is extremely knowledgeable and took the time answer all of my questions. I will request that he does the yearly boiler maintenance from here on out.

Two Great Guys, if I could give more and 5 Stars I would!!!

I have been a Palmer customer for 5 or 6 years at least. My experience with the front office and the technicians has always been great. We have always been on automatic oil fill and we have never had an issue. My most recent experience was today - we needed a service and a replacement part. The technician was very polite, experienced, knowledgeable and respectful of our time (David). He also had a more junior team member with him (Domenic) who was very respectful as well. I continue to be impressed with Palmer and will remain a customer for the foreseeable future!
