Approximately three weeks ago, a friend and I purchased a used Nintendo 3DS game from the Athens location. When we got home that night, we opened the box to find it empty--the cashier having forgotten to put the used game inside the box that had been set out as a decoy. An understandable mistake--we'd been having a conversation with her as we checked out, and figured she had just gotten distracted. We called the store that same evening, explained the situation, and arranged for the game to be shipped to the GameStop in Jackson, OH, as we live an hour away from Athens and can not easily go back. A week passed with no sign of the game at the Jackson store. When we called Athens again, they claimed the game had been shipped to the Gallipolis location "some time ago", and should arrive there shortly. Today, over three weeks since the initial purchase, the Gallipolis GameStop has no game, and no record of it having been shipped to them. When I called the Athens location to try and figure out what exactly was going on, I was connected to the store leader, who proceeded to cut me off, refused to let me ask questions to clarify the situation, claiming there was "no point in discussing it any further." When asked about why the game was not at Jackson or Gallipolis, he refused to take responsibility or give a valid explanation. He offered to ship the game to my house, but only if I drove two hours out of my way on a weekday when he was on the clock, to get my money back. At no point did we ask for our money back, only the game that we had rightfully purchased and had not received due to error on their behalf. At the time of writing this, the Athens location still has done nothing to resolve the problem they created. The Gallipolis GameStop is very kindly and helpfully working with us to resolve the matter at their own store's expense. The rudeness of the Athens staff is unforgivable, all their blundering aside. I've since been warned about this staff by other GS employees.
