Overall
Best way to entertain Nashville visitors!!!

ANYTIME I have family or friends visiting, I ALWAYS take them for a cruise on the Blue Heron with Capt. Jim.

You see THE REAL Tennessee and it gets everybody outdoors no matter what age they are. I've taken adults, teenagers, little kids, and they all had a good time. It's something everybody in my big family can do together. The seniors get to be outdoors without having to hike or pack any gear. The kids like being together at the front of the boat and blowing bubbles or shooting each other with water pistols (that the Captain pulls out of his toy chest). The rest of us get time to talk and catch up, we can sit in rows or sometimes the Captain has let us rearrange the chairs into a circle and my cousin played guitar and we sang together!

Sometimes we've taken a little picnic or some snacks with us.

This is a big ole pontoon boat that the Captain drives slow and smooth. None of that seasick rocking or racing. More than 20 people can ride at one time and everybody gets pretty chummy with each other by the time the cruise is over.

You can't help it, relaxing on the water puts you at ease and it's so pretty out there. All you see is water and sky and trees and birds, some creeks, some hills, once in a while a house or barn.

I'd rather take people out into the beautiful nature that's around Nashville than just drive drive drive in city traffic and wait wait wait in line at restaurants and clubs.

This way I get time to really visit with my family or friends, because there's time to talk on the boat and on the drive there.
