This nail salon has been open for 4 months. As a retired cosmetologist I know the standards of cleanliness nail salons Are held to. Their implements came out of sterilized packets from an autoclave. I've been to 2 other nail salons in Asheville and haven't seen them in use. They had barbacide containers that appeared fresh(ie no sediments floating in the containers) and the place in general appeared tidy. Now for the service. My daughters and I went for basic pedicures, which in my opinion, was just as good as spa pedicures I've received elsewhere. They had a bear pedicure chair for my younger daughter and my older daughter received a free nail design because it was her birthday. I told my technician my ankles were sore, and he worked them out for me too. The thing I dread most when getting a pedicure is when they pull out the razor for callouses, which is ILLEGAL, they didn't even try it on me, usually I have to argue that I don't want the razor, but I didn't even see one in their implements. They instead used a pumice like file, which did the job fine. All of our polish looks good and I know my toes feel great. So if you're looking to try a new place I'd put it on your list.

It's not worth the hassle. We had a Groupon for a package deal, tried to make reservations, couldn't do it before certificate expired. They made it for 4/26/2013 and honored the Groupon. They were about 10 to 15 minutes late to open and be there for a 10am reservation. The massage was Ok and most stuff was alright until it came to the tub soak. They had my wife get in the tub with about 4 to 5 inches of water and they kept filling it up. She couldn't relax and listen to the music during this time. When there was enough water my wife turned the water off and was able to relax and listen to the music for about 5 minutes instead of a 20 minute tub soak. My wife told me about this all the way home. We live about 1 1/2 hours from Asheville. I sent the company a message about this during the weekend and got a response from Michelle on Monday 4/29. She apologized a couple of times but it didn't really seem like she cared. My wife has said she will not return to this establishment nor recommend them to anyone either.
I have been in every Spa in Asheville. Literally. I have stress related muscular problems, and the only relief is from massage. This spa is awesome. The Therapist are very knowlegable. The Spa is absouletly hands down, the nicest spa in the Asheville Area. I have been to the Grove Park Inn, and their spa, (pools are beautiful) but their treatment rooms, and the environment are no where close to this spa. They offer many different treatments, and have something for everyone. If you want to sit in Sauna, Steam Room, you can come early, or stay later and work out in an incredible fitness facility. I just love this place. I am a local, and have been in many world class spas, in Mexico, Singaphore, and this Spa is up there with every 5 * I have visited. Cynthia
The staff were friendly enough, however my gel manicure is THE WORST I'VE EVER HAD!!!!! I stopped in Friday 11/24 around 3:30pm for a french-tip gel mani for a wedding the next day. Before the end of the night (24th), I'd already chipped one nail (the white painted tip chipped off). By the end of the next day (25th) THREE had chipped to the point where there was less than half the white tip left. I've been getting gel mani's for almost 2 years now and NEVER have I seen nails chip this quickly - french or otherwise. OVERPRICED ($45) and SUB-STANDARD QUALITY.

I took a party of 10 women here for a pre-wedding get-together. The staff took such amazing care of all of us! They even surprised me by getting egg rolls for my party from the Chinese restaurant next door. They also put a table out with wine, sodas, and water, all free of charge. Aside from their wonderful hospitality, they also did a great job with our nails, and my cousin could not stop raving about the massage that her nail tech gave (and she is not easy to please)! I was extremely satisfied with my experience at Hollywood Nails!
My massage therapist is a genius! He has done amazing work! He is able to manipulate my tense muscles to expel all the knots I've caused due overworking my legs and flutes in my bike. Thankfully, he is very patient in coaching my some breathing techniques to enhance my deep tissue experience. Thank you Daniel, for taking great care of me! I always come in an a knotted ball, but walk out feeling healed, relaxed and sleep like a baby after working with you.
I am a local resident. I frequent Spas in Region 2 times monthly. This Spa is my favourite. Kelly, the MT has definetly got a Divine Touch. She found every knot without me telling her where I hurt. Even was able to do Kenisio Taping on a my hand where I had surgery, which greately helped reduce the swelling.... Very Very beautiful decor and peaceful atmosphere. My favorite. Cynthia
For several years I have given my wife a Spa treatment at Spa de la Vie. Each visit has been exceptional, from appointment to service. I too started with a Groupon and am sorry to see some folks had a problem. You do realize that Groupon guarantees their coupons and will give you your money back? Maybe not. Anyway, Kelley hasn't disappointed us yet.
Ive never been, but my wife went two weeks or so ago. I have never heard her rave about how awesome her nails are and how long they last. Lindsey was the girls name, and my wife said she took excellent care of her. I recommend this to all the men out there who want to cut down on their wives monthly beauty expenses. Excellent product at a great price.
