Even tough he was backed up with auto repairs from the previous week , Larry was kind enough to test drive my car right away. He gave me his honest recommendation and then took it a step further By calling the Volvo dealership in Asheville to verifie that I had a previous owner warranty on my vehicle.. I wish there where more honest mechanics like him.. very knowledgeable and honest ..

My husband & I were traveling through to a new home in NC when my husband's Audi decided it was going to blow it's A/C Compressor. We limped into Asheville, and called Larry from the car for advice. First he did what he could to help us without having to bring the car in. However the damage was far more than we could handle. Larry took us in at 4:45 on a Thursday, gave us suggestions for local entertainment, and overnighted the parts for the repair. We loaded up 3 kids, a dog and a cat and prayed for the best. Friday morning, I called Larry to get an idea of the estimated repair time and he stated he already had things going with a plan to have us on the road by lunch time. Our family is absolutely in debted to his character and grace. He pulled off a difficult, costly repair and got us on the road in such a timely fashion. I would honestly drive the 3+ hours to his shop to have honest work done on any vehicle.
Great customer service! Was give estimate for repairs with options prior to repairs being done. Was also given completion time and repairs completed as promised. I'm new to this area and this shop has be come my go to place for all my truck needs.

I just went to them for an oil change on 11/25/14 at the Biltmore Forest location & they recommended several things (3 types of flushes etc based on mileage) that I couldn't afford nor felt I needed & it just seemend when I turned down those upsales the friendly customer service was lacking. Also when I drove off from Snappy Lube I found a handwritten note in my car saying "Brake Lights don't work" & they never mentioned that too me - pretty important one to mention. I then tried to replace by fuses & bulbs & that didn't work so then I knew my switch was out. I did call them back & they did say my fuses & bulbs were fine but that is why they left a note - but it would have been nice if they had mentioned that they already tried the fuses & bulbs & let me know in person instead of a hand written note left in the car. The customer service can be MUCH improved however I did speak with Upper Management & he was very nice & said they would try to improve on this & that Manager works at the Airport Road Location.
The staff here is friendly and knowledgable. They are very efficient and that is a major plus when you have two small children with you. I will be back again for future services!
They fixed my car up correctly. Too bad, even though they knew how tight I was on money, that they chose to charge me $20 more than they had just quoted. And that was after they went back and forth on how much they charge per hour as if it was an answer they wouldn't readily know.. I'll probably look elsewhere next time I need work on my car done.
I have been to many mechanics in Asheville.These folks are by far the best I have encountered. They are honest and reasonable.
I would say to be very cautios about the upsales that are un-needed. Also make very the cos t of an oillchange because mine cost $51.00 because I did not use their brand of oil. I used havoline 5w30 which is a stanard oil that they charge almost $20.00 extra dollars for . Place is a complet RIPOFF. I would not have given 1 star but I had to give something.
