WOW!!!!! All I have to say is WOW!!! This salon is the best in WNC. I recently started going to Tyler and he has done my hair 3 times now; and each time, I tell him something new to do and he does it PERFECTLY!!!!! However, this time he suggested that we try something new and modern, "ombre" ...HE DID AN AMAZING JOB!!! The placement was perfect and he was so particular about his work. I left there feeling like royalty, I felt so pretty and had several compliments on my hair all day!!! Thank you Tyler, you are the best!!! I also see Kim for my nails. She is fabulous! She ACTUALLY cares about my nails and wants me to have the best. I love her and I am so glad I found her! Rachel does my eyebrows and I have never felt so pampered while just getting my eyebrows done. I went on my lunch break to get them waxed and left without one welt or red spot on my face! AMAZING!!! I LOVE THIS SALON AND I WILL NEVER GO ANYWHERE ELSE!!!! Everyone there treats me like family and I feel at home everytime I go!!! I actually enjoy going to get my hair, nails and eyebrows done!!! Thank you AVARI family!!! Brandi and Kim you have done a fabulous job!!!!!

Really nice full service salon. I started with a hair cut and style and it came out great. Lots of compliments from spouse and co-workers, so I kn…
If you are in need of a professional hair stylist who uses only botanical products, this is the place for you. I returned to the Asheville area after being in another state for 8 years. During my stay, I had the good fortune of being in the care of a stylist who uses the Farouk styling system, Chi products and my hair has never been in such good shape. Coming back here, I wanted the same experience but was misled by a local stylist. I did my research and found this salon. I am so happy to say that not only is this salon professional and quality, but I found the prices are actually cheaper than the salon I went to where I was misled. Woody is the owner and also my stylist. Her dedication to her clients and salon is obvious and she is very willing to accommodate her clients, to the best of her ability. The salon itself is clean and welcoming and I felt good from the moment I entered. If you are at all interested in products that do not contain Ammonia, are good for the hair and head, and colors that are true and long lasting, opt for this salon. If you want to be treated well and spend your money wisely, opt for this salon. You will not be sorry.
As a local Massage Therapist myself, I'm in need of monthly maintenance massages from someone else. I'm so happy I found Heather! I have had a massage or two each month since moving to Asheville in August 2012. Some are good, some are so-so, Heather knows what she is doing. Not only does her space feel inviting being so close to a Chiropractor she has a warm, caring, friendly appeal way about her. Totally comfortable. No stress. She listens and applies my needs and wants into the session. Heather even uses hot towels, aromatherapy, and hot stones, no extra charge. I was never a fan of hot stones, but she knows how to use them correctly and therapeutically. She incorporates stretching, and I find odd that others do not. Stretching is very important part of massage. On top off all the above she does Ashiatsu! Everyone needs to get one done, especially if you enjoy deep pressure! She is a gem! A hard to find diamond in the rough (that rough being an overly saturated city full of massage therapists). Highly recommend!
Bella Dona is located in a small shopping center, right off Hendersonville Road, making it easy to get to. I had a 4pm facial on a Saturday, the only time open that day. I arrived a few minutes late but the girl who greeted me (and did my massage) was not upset. I had a European facial through Groupon; I filled out a form with my contact info and a few questions on my skin regimen. She was good about telling me what kind of facial she would do based on my answers. The massage room was peaceful and had soothing music playing. In addition to the facial (which was fantastic), she gave a hand and shoulder massage that were great. She used Dermalogica, well stocked in the retail section. At a glance, there's a pretty good selection of beauty items you can buy in the store. No pushy sales pitch, which was nice. Perfect ending to a Saturday afternoon.
Walking in to Lola you are immediately transported to a by gone era of glamor and unpretentious hi-end customer service. You feel welcomed and special and that is just from being greeted with a sparkling beverage! I leave my cares behind and know I am in good hands with the staff of Lola! Rebecca is who I see and my sister sees Liz. We like to make our appointments together and make a girls day of it, ready to get spoiled! You never feel more girlie or well taken care of than when you are at Lola. My friend called to get in with Liz or Rebecca, when they were booked they got a great cut & color from another stylist and were just as happy! I am not the type to write reviews but... I just had to write a glowing review!
Prices are good; clothing is organized by size and color. The staff I met seemed to have a "meh" attitude. I asked for use of their public restroom and was told they didn't have one. I'm pretty sure businesses of over 1,000 sq. feet, by law, must provide restrooms for customers. I purchased some jewelry and will visit again but suggest they improve in the customer service area. Perhaps it was just an off day for staff (it is inventory time) but Asheville is known for its Southern hospitality and this experience did not live up to my expectations. Nonetheless, I'll give the store a second chance.
ask for becky. she is one of the top stylists, colorists in asheville. she uses the latest products like the INOA (sp?) hair color that is ammonia-free and actually feels good in your hair instead of the smelly, irritated kind. you can book with her direct, too: 551-5712. the shop is not hippest place in the world but becky is :). besdies, who wants to pay an extra $100 to listen to "indie" music in one of those places. becky gives the same or better hair service for a reasonable price...oh, she did my cousin's wedding party too so she does the special occasion stuff...
"You must go to Laura's Canvas to get your hair done!" Run, don't walk. Laura's been my hair stylist for 5+ years and I keep coming back for more. It's such a lovely salon with good energy and talented people. I love it when my calendar says I have a hair appointment with Laura! I always receive the best compliments about my hair where ever I go. And I quickly tell them to head to Canvas. Oh, BTW the current (Jan 2013) location is under Nevada Bob's Golf Store on Hendersonville Rd. Many thanks Laura!!!
I have a bad back since college days so every now and then aside from Physical Therapy, I would pay a visit to a Spa for my Hot Stone massage. The whole process involves the masseuse or therapist placing heated stones at different points of the body specifically on the painful or tight segments of the muscles. Heat as we all know is good for tight or painful muscles because it has a relieving effect. I would recommend this place because the therapist are professional seem to truly care my needs.
Though I've only been twice, both of my experiences at Studio 3 have been great, exceeding my expectations. Seems I arrive anticipating physical relief, hasn't failed, I leave feeling mentally and physically rejuvenated. Heather is not only knowledgeable in her field, but herself and the studio are gems. I challenge anybody to doing themselves a favor and scheduling a session, you will understand where the reviews come from. Keep up the great work Heather!
