We had two 'ball & clawfoot' tables; a china hutch and a trellis bottom bench that were damaged in a move fom St. Louis to Asheville NC. Furniture Repair Works was chosen to do the repairs and we are so pleased that they were. They were communicative; courteous; prompt; punctual and above all the workmanship on the repairs that Joe Carson performed for us was impeccable. We will definiately be using them for any repairs or refinishing jobs that we may need in the future and will highly recommend them to anyone else that may need these services.
My Grandmother's desk was a slant front secretary with a shelf on top that the movers DESTROYED when we moved here... they basically ripped the shelf off of the desk base. Joe could have remade the parts, but I didn't love the look of the shelf and wasn't really interested in keeping it looking 'period' perfect (it's old, but not an expensive antique). I asked if he could fix the desk, but without the shelf and he did an AMAZING job. I love that I have my Grandmother's desk AND that I now love how the desk looks.
