Horrible customer service. I have never experienced such rude and arrogant service from any company from which I've purchased. I never received confirmation of my order, and I had to call to make sure the cake was even being made. When I called I was told it was shipped and would arrive on Thursday - alas, no cake on Thursday. So I called again (which by the way, you have to leave a voicemail to a standard verizon message and they return your call within 24 hours); I was then told the owner made a "human error" and the cake would arrive on Friday. Well, the person I sent the cake to as a retirement gift would not be home on Friday. It showed up on Friday at 4:45 PM, and UPS just left it on the doorstep when the package was marked "perishable". The owner claims it's packed in a cooler with ice, but the one ice pack that was included was just a bit bigger than an iPhone. Yeah, that's gonna keep it fresh for 4 days! When I contacted the owner, she said the cake was delivered and it was not her problem. Even though she messed up the delivery date, she refused to do anything to make it right. I even agreed to meet her halfway and pay for another shipment via FedEx if she would make another cake. She refused. Don't waste your money with this company. You'll get better service from a grocery store bakery. I only picked one star for this rating as it was required for the review. They deserve none.



Ordered the cake on a Monday. ...

This company does business as Ordered the cake on a Monday. Their website says they ship by 1 PM. They say they use FedEx. They shipped it UPS on Tuesday at 6:08 PM, which of course was after UPS's cutoff of 6 PM. That means the cake sat at the Asheville terminal for over 24 hours. Never would have known it even shipped, as we got no email saying it was shipped. We called them on Thursday, the promised delivery date to advise it was not there. The owner says "oh, it will be there today! If it isn't, don't eat it, as it will be spoiled". Well, We got it on friday at 4:45 PM. Now she says it is certainly edible, and even if it isn't, it is UPS's fault, not hers. UPS says that if it had been shipped before 6PM, it would have been there, but she missed the deadline, so sorry Charlie. She says she did nothing wrong, so no refund, no nothing. Sorry Charlie. They may or not have the best Carrot Cake, I don't know, cuz it was unedible after a 5 day trip in June/July heat. All this info comes right from UPS' tracking, so I know why it was late. This company is sweet as pie until there is a problem, then the claws come out. My view? Stay away from this $60 cake hawker.
