The Best Show on Dirt

Whether you are a casual fan, a hardcore baseball enthusiast... or a tourist yourself... there are few better 'home grown' Asheville attractions than to attend an Asheville Tourists game at McCormick Field. The Tourists are a Class 'A' Minor League Baseball team in the South Atlantic League, and a farm team for the Colorado Rockies.

Considering the general lack of local sporting events in WNC, the Tourists have carved out a firm place in the hearts of local residents - not to mention boasting an impressive history of their own. You can attend a solidly entertaining home game for less than you would pay to see a movie these days. Expect all the usual audience interaction, ambience and fun that good baseball clubs provide.

A wide range of vendors (and beers on tap) are operating at McCormick Field. Also, the Merchandise shop is loaded with a wide variety of quality souvenirs.
