Because of past problems with a clinic in Hickory NC and their lack of communication, mistakes, sudden appointment cancellations, failure to call patient with results, etc.... For some 12 years I have had problems on each visit and that once resulted in my losing my temper at the receptionist who made a mistake with my appointment and then smarted off to me about it. I sought a new clinic in hopes of getting truly personal service with great communications among nurses, doctors, staff and patient. I asked my internist to refer me to Asheville Gastro. A representative called me and left a message. I called back (3 times in 3 days) with long wait times on the phone ("Your are caller number 4, etc.") After waiting, I get a nurse's RECORDING!!!. I leave messages on each attempt. The recording says: "We will call you back within 24 to 36 hours."). IT has now been 10 days since my first return call and have heard Nothing!! Here is another example of a clinic that has no communication and obviously does not care about their patients. It is all about how many they can herd through the clinic and all about money. So................ I am now looking for a small clinic (again) with real personal service and real communication, not recordings with empty promises.
