This is the best thrift store by far - it is the largest. It is clean, has clean bathrooms, changing rooms, drinking fountains, plenty of parking, safe location, etc. Tons of high quality merchandise. Mostly great prices, with a few things marked higher than normal by the staff (though not nearly as overdone as other goodwills like the south asheville one). If you're up for some real treasure hunting, also visit the Clearance Center, around the back of this store. It's tons of bins to dig through - purchases are $1.10/lb.
This is the best thrift store in asheville if you're looking for used furniture. its so clean and organized and they have the friendliest people working there. the manager is a jem! she helped me when no one else would. it use to be in westgate shopping center but its across the bridge now beside fedex and now called western carolina rescue ministries super thrift store.
They do have alot of furniture, though it's priced pretty darn high. Friendly staff. There is a big toy room, and alot of clothing. I've never found really great brands or high quality clothing though. Because of the roads right here, this store can be very tricky to get to. You have to be coming from the West.
I love this place. Hats and belts for a dollar. Books and movies can be bought here with the loose change in your pocket. From now on I'll get my clothes here. There's always something new and interesting on the shelves. Caution, if you see something you want, grab it right then or someone else will get it.
Great Place for building supplies. Friendly and kind volunteers. Excellent buys. Clean and easy to navigate from one section to another.
Well organized, clean and volunteers are very courteous and helpful.
