I come to this location on a daily basis. Usually I'm relatively happy after each visit. Not today! After trying to explain to the girl working the drive-thru that I had qualified for a free drink, but wasn't sure how to "claim" it, she told me she "didn't have time to deal with that right now." Wow, really? I miss the days of good customer service! And, they have a tip cup in their window...rest assured, no way will I leave a tip when I'm shown no respect whatsoever as the customer!! I can't say that I recommend this particular DD!!
We've come to Burkett & Sons for 3 full kitchen build-outs since 2010, and frequent them on a regular basis for smallwares. We rely on the knowledge…
Management is extremely unprofessional. Can not support a business run by one with low ethics. Fire your son, stop coddling him because your business will never survive with him running it.
Gteat Harvest truly has the best quality bread and goodies that you could possibly get without growing your own wheat. The staff is extremely knowledgable and friendly, the business is owned by a really noce family and their sandwiches are out of this world. Go stop by sometime and check it out!
Tupelo Honey Cafe is one of the best places to eat in Asheville. Be prepared to wait, but trust me its worth the wait. Grab some coffee and get ready to eat good eats!
If you must go to this restaurant, go to the downtown restaurant not the South. We had the worse service and meal ever. They were out of biscuits and were very rude about it. The food is not as good in the South Restaurant, and fair downtown. Dont waste your time or money. Too many great restaurants to choose from in Asheville. Go to Early Girl. Great staff, great healthy food. Right around the corner.
Best breakfast or lunch in Asheville,
Horrible customer service. I have never experienced such rude and arrogant service from any company from which I've purchased. I never received confirmation of my order, and I had to call to make sure the cake was even being made. When I called I was told it was shipped and would arrive on Thursday - alas, no cake on Thursday. So I called again (which by the way, you have to leave a voicemail to a standard verizon message and they return your call within 24 hours); I was then told the owner made a "human error" and the cake would arrive on Friday. Well, the person I sent the cake to as a retirement gift would not be home on Friday. It showed up on Friday at 4:45 PM, and UPS just left it on the doorstep when the package was marked "perishable". The owner claims it's packed in a cooler with ice, but the one ice pack that was included was just a bit bigger than an iPhone. Yeah, that's gonna keep it fresh for 4 days! When I contacted the owner, she said the cake was delivered and it was not her problem. Even though she messed up the delivery date, she refused to do anything to make it right. I even agreed to meet her halfway and pay for another shipment via FedEx if she would make another cake. She refused. Don't waste your money with this company. You'll get better service from a grocery store bakery. I only picked one star for this rating as it was required for the review. They deserve none.
This company does business as WorldsBestCarrotCake.com. Ordered the cake on a Monday. Their website says they ship by 1 PM. They say they use FedEx. They shipped it UPS on Tuesday at 6:08 PM, which of course was after UPS's cutoff of 6 PM. That means the cake sat at the Asheville terminal for over 24 hours. Never would have known it even shipped, as we got no email saying it was shipped. We called them on Thursday, the promised delivery date to advise it was not there. The owner says "oh, it will be there today! If it isn't, don't eat it, as it will be spoiled". Well, We got it on friday at 4:45 PM. Now she says it is certainly edible, and even if it isn't, it is UPS's fault, not hers. UPS says that if it had been shipped before 6PM, it would have been there, but she missed the deadline, so sorry Charlie. She says she did nothing wrong, so no refund, no nothing. Sorry Charlie. They may or not have the best Carrot Cake, I don't know, cuz it was unedible after a 5 day trip in June/July heat. All this info comes right from UPS' tracking, so I know why it was late. This company is sweet as pie until there is a problem, then the claws come out. My view? Stay away from this $60 cake hawker.
5 stars all the way the most unique resturant my husband and I have ever eaten at. They're own discription says it all. Try it you be hooked,we sure are.
All of my favorite things in one place: The Avett Brothers playing on the speakers, goat cheese in the grits, mimosas, and food so good that I literally did a Happy Dance in my chair. The glee of the moment, tastes, sounds and smells overtook me. I couldn’t help it. For years we have tried to get into to Tupelo Honey, but were always dissuaded by the long wait times. We got there on a Friday morning around ten this time, and only had to wait for about fifteen minutes. Every second was worth it; now I understand why it is always packed. Every. Single. Bite. Was. Delectable. It is kid-friendly, gluten-free friendly, vegetarian and carnivore friendly, locally grown and scratch-made perfection. I didn’t want to ever leave. I could live forever on the Appalachian Eggrolls and the Breakfast Bowl, and I was sad I didn’t have space in my gluttonous gut for the Sweet Potato Pancakes. I hear there is another location on the Southside of Asheville that takes reservations, but if you prefer the original, they do offer call ahead seating. I have never seen Tupelo Honey lacking a wait time, though, and now I understand why. It is potentially the best breakfast I have had in years.
