My husband & I were traveling through to a new home in NC when my husband's Audi decided it was going to blow it's A/C Compressor. We limped into Asheville, and called Larry from the car for advice. First he did what he could to help us without having to bring the car in. However the damage was far more than we could handle. Larry took us in at 4:45 on a Thursday, gave us suggestions for local entertainment, and overnighted the parts for the repair. We loaded up 3 kids, a dog and a cat and prayed for the best. Friday morning, I called Larry to get an idea of the estimated repair time and he stated he already had things going with a plan to have us on the road by lunch time. Our family is absolutely in debted to his character and grace. He pulled off a difficult, costly repair and got us on the road in such a timely fashion. I would honestly drive the 3+ hours to his shop to have honest work done on any vehicle.

I have to take serious issue with the reviewer who has accused Larry of taking advantage of him, Larry has worked on my Volvo for several years and has been able to provide excellent service at a fair price along with added savings value because of his exceptional skills as a trouble shooter with current technology diagnostic tools. All you have to do is to talk with Larry or anyone in the shop and you know immediately these are good people. I see Larry has offered to refund the reviewer's money, kudos to him for that, I've yet to see anyone dishonest make that offer. Larry is a hardworking and honest individual.
I'm from Fort Lauderdale Florida.. I own a c70 Volvo.. I was on vacation I had front end vibration.. I showed up to his shop first thing Monday morning. Even tough he was backed up with auto repairs from the previous week , Larry was kind enough to test drive my car right away. He gave me his honest recommendation and then took it a step further By calling the Volvo dealership in Asheville to verifie that I had a previous owner warranty on my vehicle.. I wish there where more honest mechanics like him.. very knowledgeable and honest ..
Larry is THE best mechanic we've worked with in years. We'd take our Volvo and VW nowhere else. I have a beast of a Volvo station wagon that I repeatedly took to 2 different mechanics and a dealership in order to fix an oil leak...it kept leaking til I found Larry. He fixed it, it's still fixed, and all of my regular maintenance goes through Larry. I have absolute confidence in him as a mechanic and a seriously stand-up businessman. And Jeanette rocks, too!
They fixed my car up correctly. Too bad, even though they knew how tight I was on money, that they chose to charge me $20 more than they had just quoted. And that was after they went back and forth on how much they charge per hour as if it was an answer they wouldn't readily know.. I'll probably look elsewhere next time I need work on my car done.
Great customer service! Was give estimate for repairs with options prior to repairs being done. Was also given completion time and repairs completed as promised. I'm new to this area and this shop has be come my go to place for all my truck needs.
